Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

Have you considered of making an All-Canadian League as part of the MAHL? The reason why I asked because I saw that there were 4 teams up there and if one or two more teams pop up there, I wouldn't be surprised if they split off to make their own league.

Just wondering!

It's not in the plans right now, but I'm not gonna say no just yet, we'll have to see.

Superior and La Crosse both do...I'm just waiting on the next WI city to get in.

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

Guys settle. You have to read between the lines. He said a Canadian league is not in the plans. This does not leave out the rest of the USA, which will obviously all have small market teams over time. Just have to let it work out. I am on the edge of my seat patiently waiting for my most anticipated teams. Flagstaff, Pinetop, Chandler, Tucson and Prescott, AZ.

As Burmy mentioned Superior and La Crosse are both in Wisconsin, but I do have plans to add more teams across the border in the coming years, and Hudson will be among the first of them.

Haha, yeah I'm not sure the MAHL will reach quite that far south

First it’s a finals loss and now it’s you telling me not even Flagstaff  (Only 1,500 miles away) could make the cut. You just don’t want that Moose to be Loose. I get it.

Fine I’ll throw my vote to Eau Claire because I have family in Chippewa Falls, my only very loose relation with that part of the country. Besides my time in Austin of course for junior hockey..... still wish they were named after Spam. The amount of PR events we had to do at the Spam museum makes it suitable.

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

1968/69 Off Season Highlights:

- 3 expansion teams will join the MAHL for the coming season.
- 5 current teams adjusted their identity
- The Twin Cities Vulcans were moved to the East division of the Twin Cities Hockey League to make room for two expansion teams in the west.
- 2 teams will be moving into new indoor arenas for the upcoming season.
                - Roseville: The Rockets will be moving into the 2,100 seat Roseville.
                - Anoka: The Warriors will be playing their home games at Columbia Ice Arena in nearby Columbia, MN. Columbia Arena is a state of the art arena with capacity for 4,000.

Let me know what you think, comments are appreciated!

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

The Eveleth Redbirds and New Ulm Bavarians both simply added numbers to the sleeves and chest, and colored their gloves.

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

Warroad decided to ditch cream for white, as well as thickening the outline of the anchor logo on their sleeves to help it stand out more. They remove the blue cuffs from their away jersey as well.
