Well, that was not the way we wanted to start the season off. Putting up an abysmal offensive and defensive effort, Joburg now has to sulk and rethink over our production on a long flight to Sydney to take on the Harbour. We'll be changing to a 4-2-3-1 formation, with F Ollie Watkins the lone bright spot from last week as we attempt to bounce back with a win. #StayGold

Another win in the books against Alfa Roma puts Atlético at 2-0 to start the season. This time, our defense was able to hold our opponents to the second-fewest points in the league. They'll have their work cut out for them this week, however, as we start off our two-game German swing against a very hot 1. VfV Munich team. Once again, though, we had an offensive performance that was just too good to ignore, as we were buoyed by a two goal performance from midfielder Solly March.

Eye of the Sun bounced back from a tough-luck loss to start the year with a close fought win over Olympique de Bastille in Paris. And now we head back home to Cairo to host St. Mungo FC. St. Mungo is one of just two winless teams at this point, so we're looking to keep them there. Last week we were lead in scoring by Midfielder Morgan Gibbs White, so we'll highlight him for the week. And we will, of course, be wearing the standard primary kit at home. #TheGoldStandard

Joburg rebounded from horrific showing last matchweek to a solid outing in our second week, but it wasn't enough to take down Sydney. The Golden Lions will attempt to rebound in our first week home at the Vodacom Calabash against London Public to claim our first win of the year. Our starting XI is headlined by D Ethan Pinnock, whose defensive efforts helped keep last week's match competitive. #StayGold

Well, the bad news is that maybe our defense isn't as good as we thought. We let Munich hang around much longer than we would've liked, but still managed to net a pretty decisive win thanks to an offensive explosion. Ironically, much of that offense came from our defense, as Matty Cash scored two goals from the right back position. He, and the rest of the team, will look to carry that momentum north, as we hop on a domestic flight up to Berlin. One of us will lose our undefeated-and-untied status this week, so prepare for a high-quality 90 minutes.

With injuries in our backline, the Falcons are testing out our depth as we head to Amsterdam. With both teams in the top 5 in scoring in the league on the season, we're hoping we can put together another game like we had against St. Mungo to knock off Amsterdam. We're in the standard kits again, and are featuring Gambian forward Nicolas Jackson for this one. #TheGoldStandard

The Golden Lions couldn't put up enough against London, and remain winless on the season. We stay at home at the Calabash against Stockholm to potentially break our winless streak and turn around our season. Recent signing M James Ward-Prowse has provided the spark in the offense that we sorely needed, and we hope that his contributions will be enough to win this week. #StayGold

Following the International break, the Falcons are set to welcome IFK Stockholm to Cairo. The Pyramid plays host as Eye of the Sun FC looks to move above .500 on the season. We're still dealing with injuries in the backline, but anchoring our defense all season has been this week's featured player, Cristian Romero. We'll be in the standard kits this week at home with the ivory shirt and black shorts. #TheGoldStandard
