Deacons good. They moved up one spot and continue to put up points. The Pros moved up the most this week, moving from 8 to 5. Otherwise, still Arizona on top, still Havana on the bottom.

Another week in the top half of the league in scoring for the Bison, but this one nets us a win. We're off to the big city to take on the Blackbirds this week. The 'birds are coming off a win over the rival Masons, so both teams are looking to win a second straight and be above .500. We'll be in the standard road grays for this one, and hoping that Xander Bogaerts continues the hot hitting that has him as the top scorer on the Bison. #WeAreOK

Week 02 was a big week for the Atoms. DH Luis Arraez hit for the first cycle of 2023, late-week pickup Jarred Kelenic made the team of the week, and the Atoms speedran the "NL Solo Lead Any%" category, as we're the only 02-00 team left in the Senior Circuit. This week's best performer, though, was Andrew Heaney, as for the second consecutive week, a Las Vegas starter pitched a shutout, with Heandog tossing 14 Ks as well. After a standout start under the Videodome, the Atoms hit the road for the first time this year, beginning a three-game road swing with a trip to Memphis. We're breaking out the road grays this week so that they don't feel left out. #BetOnIt #UpAndAtom #LVvsMEM

The T-Birds spoiled Havana's opening day with a dominating win, and now start the year 2-0 in a tough American League. 2B Max Muncy became a Giant killer (we believe this is meant literally, but we have no idea what a "San Francisco Giant" is), hitting 5 home runs in 4 days to be our best batter this past week. However, our pitching was equally as good, with reliever David Robertson getting 3 saves/holds, and showcase player Luis Castillo only allowed 2 earned runs all week while striking out 14 in his 2 starts last week. We return home this week for our first interleague matchup of the year against Boston, who are coming off a loss to rival New York. We will want to make an impact against the Masons to start 3-0, so we will be wearing our home whites while showcasing one of Arizona's most famous impact site, Meteorite Crater. #Thunderstruck

Stickball Owner Stickman annouced today, multiple days into the contest, that the New York Blackbirds would be wearing their standard pinstriped home set against the OKC Bison (which everyone could already see just by using their eyes).
When asked midcontest about the significance of this matchup, knowing that the previous Stickman that owned the Blackbirds had had an unreciprocated hatred for the Bison due to a perceived slight in fictional rankings that their owner made, Stickball Stickman replied, "I don't particular care what some guy think about my team in fantasy rankings. We're just going to win this game and keep attempting to win each game. I'm not going to attempt to start World War 3 over this", the end comment causing a surprising laugh from the reporters, who were all too familar with the childish shenanigans Baseball Owner Stickman had put everyone through.
However, the niceties wouldn't last, as Stickman ended the conference call immediately after AltSPN reporter Johnny Armando asked him about yet another drama involving his personal secretary and a stolen walrus, (no unrelated third item has been discovered... yet).

Sooo, I'll be posting on the discord too, but AltLB owners, please listen up. Stickball Owner Stickman is offering a one time special. For the rest of this week, meaning through Sunday (the end of Week 3), I am listening to offers for New York Blackbirds UT player J.D. Martinez for the best offer (as long as it's a good offer of course, gotta throw that caveat in there so no one gets mad). I'm looking for draft capital in 2024's draft, though if you're more comfortable offering players, I'll absolutely listen and could be convinced. Martinez is having a solid year so far, his 71 total points is in the top 75 out of all the baseball players in all of MLB, so he's definitely worth the investment you'll have to pay for his services.
Again, looking for draft capital (Martinez's strong start suggests an early round pick would be an appropriate ask), but will absolutely listen to offers for players and/or draft picks. Feel free to be creative if that works for you!

Three weeks down, and it's interesting to see what's going on. The Gemini and Blackbirds jumped up three and four spots respectively. The Cubans jumped up three spots as well. But only the Masons and Kings dropped more than one spot, each dropping three spots.

The team of the week this week featured two players on the team for the second time, David Bednar of the Colts and Max Muncy of the Thunderbirds. With the three players that were two time members of the Team of the Week last week, there are 5 players that have twice been on that team. And with Marcus Semien and Nico Hoerner making the team this week, all 16 teams have had at least one player represented on the Team of the Week.

Coming off a thorough beating from the Blackbirds, the Bison continue the road trip to Cuba to face the Cubans for the first time in the modern era. The Bison hitters are doing pretty well, but the pitchers can't seem to keep the other team from scoring. We're hoping that can change this week as we look to notch an American League win. We're going to get out the alternates for this one, and highlight second baseman Jonathan India, in his first season with the Bison after spending last year in Milwaukee. #WeAreOK

Another week, another dominant win for the Las Vegas Atoms. Every aspect of the game has been clicking for the team recently, with the offense hitting dingers all over the field, our starters giving us several quality starts, and our relievers shutting down teams and locking up games. In fact, the talent on this team is so spread out that we had three players - 3B Yandy Diaz, SP Lucas Giolito, and RP Jose Alvarado - tie for the best performance on the team this week. We had to give the feature to Yandy, though, who has been by far the biggest contributor to the lineup this season outside of 1B Pete Alonso. Hopefully, we can keep the train rolling as we head into Kansas City for a Week 04 matchup with the 16th-ranked Colts. #BetOnIt #UpAndAtom #LVvsKC
