We are close to winning the central. That is all. Thank you Wallflower for the graphic

Apparently, we need to play a bit of defense, as YOUR New York Emperors drop their second in a row to the one of the top two scoring teams of the week. But we're still in the driver's seat in the division and control our own destiny. We have the lowly Toronto Beavers this week, and we're not going to look past them as we look to get back in the win column with just two weeks left in the season. This week is Street Art Night with the Emperors. Street artists from around New York are coming out to the stadium and will be set up throughout the parking lot. We encourage you to pick up some amazing art by these local artists, and will have lockers set up throughout the concourse so you can put your pre-game purchase somewhere safe while you watch the Emperors beat up on the Beavers. We're going to be breaking out the alternates for the last time this season, and highlighting our top performing rookie draft pick from this season, running back Tyler Allgeier!

Another week, another loss for the San Diego Destroyers. We couldn't keep up with the Raptors, which was already challenging, but it became impossible without our star running back, Joe Mixon. We leave Salt Lake City and head north to Portland to take on the Grizzlies. The defending West Division champions may be struggling this season, but they will be a tough match-up for us. We will be wearing our standard away set of Navy-White-Navy in Portland, and our featured player for week 13 is number 13, Keenan Allen, who caught a touchdown pass in his return to the field last week. #SeekAndDestroy #SDvsPOR

Well, folks, it all comes down to this. As expected, the West Division will come down to one game at the end of the season, but it'll be one week earlier than we thought. With the Steelheads and Raptors tied and two games clear of the rest of the West, the winner of this game will clinch the division and a top-4 seed in the playoffs. We'll also be putting our seven-game win streak on the line, but Utah will be the toughest test we've faced during that stretch. We'll need our entire team to step up, so it's a good thing we'll have RB Darrell Henderson Jr. back after a one-game absence. #NervesOfSteel #UTAvsSEA

A tough loss to the Copperheads last week will make the road to the playoffs very difficult with only a couple of games to go, but we are still alive and ready to fight as we have our last home game of the season against the Vulcans. Nicholas Morrow has been a quietly strong player in our defence this season and is featured on this week's graphic. This is also the first time since the rebrand that the Galactics will be repping the same uniform set as the previous week as we are back in purple with orange pants! #GoGalactics #ORLvsBIR #startthecountdown

We win and we lock up the central. Kentucky is very excited to face the Mallards for the chance to go from 1-13 to winning their division. Oh yeah, and Josh Jacobs popped off last week. So that's cool.

And with an absolute pounding of the Beavers, YOUR New York Emperors have qualified for the playoffs the third consecutive year. We still have one game left in the regular season, as we look to lock down the AltFL East Division Title, our first home playoff game of the modern era, and the top overall seed. Standing in our way are our rivals from Boston, the Nightriders. Boston won the division last year on their home field in front of us, so we look to return that favor. It's Legends Night with the Emperors, as we honor another of the players from our great history. Today we posthumously honor Emperor great, number 55, linebacker Junior Seau.

We started the year with high aspirations, and we now head into the final week tied for the fewest losses in the league, which owes to the top-tier talent on this team. Now, there is a new establishment atop the AltFL's leftmost bunch. The Seattle Steelheads soundly defeated the Utah Raptors to clinch the 2022 West Division title and a top-four seed. Our defense really stepped up, led by late addition to the lineup LB Alex Singleton. Singleton stepped in and finished with 17 total tackles, getting to hoist his first Grey Cup, which is obviously what they give to the West Division Champions. We still have one more game in the regular season, however, and while the clock has struck midnight on the Portland Grizzlies season (this is a clever reference to how weeks are indicated on the graphic below), they'll still be hungry to play spoiler to their biggest rivals, as the Steelheads can still finish anywhere in the top four seeds. Of course, nothing would be a better finale to this regular season than taking down those hippie weirdos on their home turf. #NervesOfSteel #RevengeOfTheFish #SEAvsPOR

The Destroyers went up to Portland and surprisingly picked up another W to bring our win total to 4 this season, but now we head back to San Diego for Rivalry Week. While midnight has struck on our season, our opponent, our rival, the LA Sabercats are hoping to clinch a playoff spot so we must do our best to play spoiler in this SoCal Showdown. Since it is Rivalry Week, the San Diego Destroyers are wearing their alternate set (Navy-Grey-Grey) this week against Los Angeles. Speaking of Los Angeles, LA Olympians Ass. Coach and San Diego Destroyers legend Mark Sanchez will be honoured as the Destroyers celebrate Legends Night to close out our 2022 season. #SDvsLA #SoCalShowdown #Rivalry Week #LegendsNight #SeekAndDestroy

Today, Football Owner Stickman, flanked by Ketchup and Mustard the wiener dogs, announced today that, for the final regular season game, the Los Angeles Sabercats will wear their standard road uniforms (black helmet, white jersey, gold pants) as they compete against their SoCal rival, the San Diego Destoyers.
"We understand that not only do we have to win, but a few other things have to go just right for the Sabercats to make their first ever playoff appearance. But if we just focus on winning this important game this week, we can at least do everything we could possibly do" said Stickman, alluding to the playoff scenario that would have to occur (including.... 1) Sabercats winning, 2) the Orlando Galactics scoring less than 12 points more than the Sabercats this week or lose altogether and 3) two of the following three teams MUST lose, the Boston Nightriders- facing the dominant New York Emperors, the Arizona Scorpions- facing a daunting task of beating the dangerous Utah Raptors, or the Carolina Reapers-facing an always game Philadelphia Brawlers).
"Sooooo, in order to keep our players focused on our game..... and ONLY our game, I've advised the team to keep a strict curfew, which Ketchup and Mustard will be enforcing. Right boys?" Suddenly, the dogs grinned, each revealing a taser attached to their mouths. "If anyone gets distracted, the boys simply give them....... encouragement. The boys are eager to do their jobs well, aren't you boys!? You wanna treat?! Just shock a few lazy football players and you get your reward!!!"
It remains to be seen how the Sabercat players take to electrocution, but it appears clear that Los Angeles isn't thinking about this week being their final of the season!
