Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Well we lost to the Galactics last week in a close one.... what? That was two weeks ago? Time is weird when your life is chaos. Anyway, this week we head to Birmingham after facing... *checks notes* the Copperheads last week, and winning. This week's featured player is Darnell Mooney, who has-
Hang on, just got word that he's being traded? Well thats a problem. The graphic has already been made with his image. Oh well, lets just slap.... Josh Jacobs on there. Yeah that works.

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

Stick a fork in my, I'm done. I'd do some standings any everything like that, but really, this came down to ONE game. IDM and I picked 11 of the 12 games the same and had the same tiebreaker score. So it came down to the winner of the Milwaukee Mallards and the San Antonio Phantoms. IDM believed in the Mallards to win, I believed in the Phantoms. And my belief was misplaced, as the Mallards won their first game of the season and IDM got the win.

Congrats idm, you picked things well.

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

We mounted as much of a comeback as we could, but fell short and dropped the game to the Sabercats. But lets move past that, as this week we head on the road to take on the Brawlers. They're never an easy game, but YOUR New York Emperors are up to the challenge. We're wearing the standard road set this week for our big divisional matchup AND last road game of the regular season, with our gray helmets, white jersey, gray pants and yellow socks. Shown off here by rookie linebacker Jack Sanborn, who has been a huge performer the last couple weeks.

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

After winning a wild shootout against the New York Emperors, the Los Angeles Sabercats are ready for yet another war against an always dangerous Portland Grizzlies team that the Sabercats have never beaten.  "We're ready to keep proving the doubters wrong," started Football Owner Stickman, as always accompanied by his wiener dogs Ketchup and Mustard, "They said we were finished when we started the year 0-3, they said we were finished when we nearly half our players were injured, they even said we were finished when our toughest stretch of schedule began...."

"Actually, nobody said those things at all...." began AltSPN journalist Johnny Armando, but he was quickly cut off.

"Well, you should have been!   That way I could say we proved you wrong!   Anyway, we'll be wearing our standard black helmet, black jersey, and gold pants combination against the Berenstein bears from Portland...."

"It's actually BerenSTAIN bears...."

"and when we've defeated.... wait, what?  It's actually Berenstain? for real?"

"For real"

"Huh.......that means..... the implanted memories...... were..... a lie?   Wow.... well I'll be"  Stickman left the press conference, mumbling to himself, while Ketchup and Mustard tilted their heads at Armando in confusion.

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

A crucial win against Miami last week sets the Cyclones up for a critical final 3 weeks of this season as we finish up our divisional games. The final 3 weeks will be a free-for-all, and we have to go through the top 2 teams to win the division. This week we take on the division-leading Kentucky Stallions, and we have to win this week to have any chance of winning another division title. DL Dorance Armstrong has been a great pickup this year for us, and he'll continue to lead the trenches in our alternate home set of white helmets, red jerseys, and white pants.

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

We tried to keep up with the Bolts, but Patrick Mahomes was too much for us, and we fell to 3-8 and were eliminated from playoff contention. We head out on the road for the next two games, and our first stop is in Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Raptors, who are currently tied for the lead of our division. We hope to play spoiler in the race for the division title, and we will try to do so in our alternate away set of Navy-White-White. Our featured player is Trey Hendrickson, who had a good game last week. #SeekAndDestroy #SDvsUTA

so true 🙏

With a return to divisional play, the Steelheads are welcoming the Arizona Scorpions into our home for a Friendsgiving celebration. Unfortunately, like in all Friendsgiving celebrations, one team has to win. We're hoping we can be that team so that we can keep pace with the Raptors for the division lead and get one step closer to clinching a playoff berth. Leading the way will be TE Tyler Higbee, who's taken over the starting job for the injured Darren Waller and has been a solid weapon for Derek Carr (remember him? that was just last week, after all). #NervesOfSteel #ARZvsSEA

Re: The AltFL Season 2022

After a strong win last weekend against the Explorers, the Galactics head into their most crucial game left. The South Division is on the line as we face the division-leading Tennessee Copperheads. WR Adam Thielen has not had the season he usually does, but he is still a leader on this team that will still have an important role to play in order to keep the playoffs hopes alive. This week, we are wearing our purple outfits (jersey, helmet, socks) with orange pants. #GoGalactics #ORLvsTEN #startthecountdown
