Today, Football Stickman has a special announcement regarding the LA Sabercats uniform choice in what could be an extremely difficult, but likely well watched, matchup against the New York Emperors. He was unusually pepped up today, yet his prized wiener dogs Ketchup and Mustard were seemingly even more hyper, bouncing about the stage, (a cute moment ruined by Mustard's rather goofy looking snarely face).
"First of all, I'd like to recognize the efforts of a few of our recent acquisitions that we just signed over last week, as their performances were critical in our huge win over the Buffalo Bolts!" he began, "WR Terry McLaurin had a great day right after we traded for him, LB Sione Takitaki came off the free agency pool to have a strong game, and WR Chris Moore didn't totally suck at all! Haha, just kidding buddy!" (Reports from the Chris Moore camp suggest he didn't take the "joke" too kindly and is already demanding a trade or to be released from his contract).
"But now we face another one of our biggest tests in the New York Emperors, as they've proven to be a very dominate team up to this point. Almost nobody has had any success against them. However, there's one team that they won't steamroll because they haven't yet faced.... OUR Los Angeles Sabercats!!!..." (Journalists groaned at the obviously bad play at the Emperors phrase "YOUR New York Emperors") "...and to commence our epic matchup, the Sabercats are announcing that we will be ditching the black uniforms and helmet for one special day! That's right, we will be wearing a stylish all-golden attire, complete with gold helmet, gold jersey, and even gold pants!"
"That's right, folks! Throw away your turkeys! The Sabercats are celebrating Thankgiving early this year, WE'RE FEASTING ON EMPEROR PENGUIN, BABY!!! YAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" He suddenly screamed, Howard Dean style, then marched right off the podium with Ketchup and Mustard (still giving off that goofy snarely face) running behind while howling!

The final three had a close one, and it was decided by the tiebreaker!
10-2 Dan O'Mac
9-3 idm
9-3 Magic
The tiebreaker came down to who was closest to the Orlando Galactic's high score of 142.3. With idm's prediction of 146.25 and Magic's prediction of 155, idm was closer and will move on. Magic, thank you very much for participating.
Now, with the last week ready to go... make your picks!

With a big win over the Grizzlies (Steel, you forgot your official Coogan scarf, we'll mail it back to you), we head back out on the road to Los Angeles to face the Sabercats for the first time ever. And for extra fun, my college, Wisconsin State is also playing in Los Angeles this week in the AltCAA Football Semifinals! This is all kinds of fun! YOUR New York Emperors will be wearing our standard road uniforms against the all gold eyesores the Sabercats are wearing, with the gray helmet, white jersey, gray pants and yellow socks. They're modelled by Wisconsin State alumni and star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb!

We fought hard, but those Reapers were too much to handle in the end, and we fell to 3-7 on the season. We head home to take on an even tougher challenge as we host our blue and grey companions, the Buffalo Bolts, who just suffered their 2nd loss at the hands of our SoCal rivals, the LA Sabercats. We will be wearing navy from head to toe against the mighty Bolts, and our featured player of the week is defensive back Xavier Woods, whose performance helped us keep it close with Carolina heading into MNF. #SDvsBUF #SeekAndDestroy

It was an incredibly tight game, but somehow, we managed to grab a win over the Brawlers despite another fairly lackluster performance. Our winning streak is now at 5 games and we remain tied with Utah for the division lead. This week, we travel back home to face a Carolina Reapers squad that appears to be missing several key players, but we'll need to make sure we win this game to prepare for a tough West Division gauntlet to finish out the season. Featured on the graphic this week is QB Derek Carr, who was emotional after throwing two touchdowns to help secure the win. Also, this post is sponsored by a French grocery store chain for some re - oh, I get it. #NervesOfSteel #CARvsSEA #ad

The Galactics will finally face off with the Explorers to complete the rounds with every team in the AltFL since the revamp ahead of the 2020 season. To celebrate, we are breaking out a uniform combo that we have not used since week 1 of the 2020 season, and that is the all-purple look. DL Cameron Heyward is featured this week as he will surely be trying to hunt down QB Josh Allen all game long. #GoGalactics #ORLvsSTL #startthecountdown

Though they gave us a good fight last week, the Cyclones solidly defeated the Vulcans and continue to stay alive in the hunt. In our last week before division matchups resume, we travel down south to Miami to take on the Hammerheads... on a battleship? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a weird place to host a football game. If that's the case then congrats on them for keeping that idea afloat. Anyway, WR Isaiah McKenzie will hopefully (he's apparently going to a place called "Dertoit" because of a snowstorm) lead out the Cyclones in their typical away set of white helmets, white jerseys, and red pants to sink this battleship. Oh, and the Hammerheads too.

The Reapers got the win over San Diego to ride to a 5-game win streak and find themselves tied for third in the East. We begin our three-game road trip by finishing off the battle against the West in Seattle. It'll be a tough challenge as our best offensive players are on a bye but we'll try our hardest anyway. The team will be in the default road look of Reaper Red helmets and pants with White Hot jerseys and socks. #FeelTheHeat
