With a big non-conference win over Yellowstone in... Montana? But I thought Yellowstone National Park was in Wyoming? Either way, #DubState lives up to their name and moves on to close out the season with Wichita State. The 29ers are coming in at 3-4 and out of contention for the Heartland Conference title. But that won't stop them from trying to play spoiler, as the Wolfpack look to move into a tie with Riel and potentially Minnesota A&M if they can win, so this game is important. Thankfully, we're at home and we're wearing our standard home set with the black helmet, black jersey, orange pants, and black socks. Showing them off this week is sophomore running back, number 33, Carson Steele!

Yellowstone is mostly in Wyoming but it spreads into Montana and Idaho as well. The show Yellowstone takes place in Montana and that area is where the school is located.

This snuck up on me. Despite a loss this week to Wisconsin State (which snapped a 6-game winning streak) the Moose are excited to be crowned the Champions of the Super West Conference! Yellowstone is headed to the Avocado Bowl. The Yellowstone media guide is coming soon.

Well, that was ... what's the opposite of disappointing? Appointing? That's not right, but just about everything else went right for the Johns Island Angels in week 9. Not only did the Angels come out on top in the Holy War against St. Brendan's, but UFO upset Nouvelle France, giving us control over our own destiny once again. To put the cherry on top, Yellowstone also lost, meaning JIU is back to being all alone in the #1 spot based on overall record. We can guarantee that we keep that spot if we get a win in the second round of the Battle of the Carolinas against Charlotte. We're going color vs color in this game, and we're counting on WR Josh Downs to keep putting up numbers like he did last week. #JIUceIsForever

For the first time Charlotte and Calvert split results and it spells the end of Charlotte's postseason hopes. However, the season's not over as they have the opportunity to play spoiler to their Carolina rival Johns Island and take away their Southern V crown. Meanwhile, Calvert looks to win its 4th straight and lock itself into the postseason with a win over Riel. But that's not all - Calvert could not only still make the playoffs, but even win the ECC! If Hershey and St. Brendan's win against PCU and St. Laurent respectively, all 5 teams will be 4-4 in conference play and unless one team really pops off the Crusaders win on the points tiebreaker. If one of those things happens and Calvert wins against the Rebels, odds are very good that Calvert sneaks into the playoffs as a wildcard. Either way, it'll be a fun week! The Highlanders don their home blues and Calvert their home golds as both teams engage in a color-v-color matchup. #EverUpward #DefendTheBay

Well, we did it, boys! We clinched bowl eligibility with a win over Hershey, and now we can take home the conference title as we head down to Boston to take on St. Brendan's. We beat the Navigators in our last game, but they will be looking to throw a wrench in our plans, so we will have to bring our A-game. Due to St. Brendan's wearing white at home, St. Laurent brought their Quebec Pride set to Boston. This week's featured player is our freshman kicker, Denis Lynch. #GoPatsGo #STLvsSTB

It's the final week of the season, and we got a tough one to close out the year against Calvert. We certainly will not take one of the best-scoring teams lightly as the Rebels hope to close out the season with another win. We will bring out the classic home unis as were have a beautiful colour v color game here in Winnipeg. #GoRebels #theRieldeal

We had an awful week against the Packers, but since they don't know how to start a football team we ended taking the win. That puts us one game away from clinching a bowl game, and that last win won't come easy for us. We travel to Yellowstone this week, and although they might have already clinched the Super West it won't stop us from giving it our all and playing spoiler. Sophomore WR Oronde Gadsden was one of our few good players last week, and he'll get the starting nod this week as well in our final regular season game in our standard road set.

It is almost bowl season!
It is a good sign that with one week left in the regular season all but 3 schools have a chance to make a bowl game! We have eight 4-5 teams that are looking to get to bowl eligibility. At the top of the standings we have races in three of our conferences.
With that said, it is time that we officially host our bowl game design sprint. Together we are going to design two bowl games between now and bowl week!
Workflow (November 4 - November 11)
STEP 1 - Submit Ideas for Bowl Games (Friday + Saturday)
STEP 2 - Vote on bowl games (Sunday)
STEP 3 - Bowl games revealed (Monday)
STEP 4 - Bowl game logos submitted (Wednesday)
STEP 5 - Logo Vote (Thursday)
STEP 6 - Logos Revealed (Friday)
The Bowl Game matchups will begin earlier next week but the logos will be revealed in time for the majority of the games on Friday and Saturday.
Major Bowl Games
Avocado Bowl (Phoenix, Arizona) - the host will always be the champion of the Super West Conference.
Harvest Bowl (Kansas City, Missouri) - the host will always be the champion of the Heartland Athletic Conference
Heritage Bowl (Washington, DC) - the host will always be the champion of the East Coast Conference
Whiskey Bowl (Nashville, TN) - the host will always be the champion of the Southern V Conference
***Those four bowl games will be the ones included in the College Football Playoff. The playoff will work like a bracket and teams will not be reseeded after the first round.
Minor Bowl Games
But not everyone will be playing in the College Football Playoff. We will have 3 additional bowl games for those teams.
Bowl #1 - Beacon Bowl (Boston, Massachusetts) will feature teams #9 and #10.
Bowl #2 - _____________ (_______________) will feature teams #11 and #12.
Bowl #3 - _____________ (_______________) will feature teams #13 and #14
We will invite teams to the bowl as they are ranked and available. If there are an odd number of bowl eligible teams, the team with the lowest number of points will be eliminated.
Semi Finals and National Championship
We will also be selecting the sites for the semi-finals and national championship games. As we vote for the minor bowl games we will be also nominating cities that we will eventually vote. The city with the most votes will be the Natty and the second and third will be the National Championship.
Your Turn:
So it's your turn to put forth your ideas. A couple of norms around this vote.
1.) Please don't campaign for your idea. Just let everyone vote the way they'd like
2.) We are looking for realistic bowl games and locations - i'll omit anything that doesn't feel legit.
SUBMIT YOUR IDEAS HERE:
Fill this out!
PS - Needless to say avoid the locations of existing bowl games.

Not saying it's likely, but by my math (based on a lot of QCS's math - thanks as always) couldn't we theoretically end up with 16 bowl-eligible teams? Is there a plan if that does happen?
