With a tough win over the Mallards last week, the Emperors retain a share of the AltFL East Division lead with Boston and Buffalo. But we're not focused on the standings, we're focused on our next opponent, as YOUR New York Emperors will host the St. Louis Explorers. It's Throwback Night here at the Polo Grounds, as we are discounting the price of many concessions. We thought that's what we'd need to do to get a full house against the aggressively mediocre Explorers. But look at them, better than mediocre. Our goal? Get them back closer to .500. We're going to be wearing the standard homes this week with the gray helmet, yellow jersey, and gray pants. Showing them off this week is inside linebacker Zaven Collins!

Well, it was a sloppy game in Seattle, but at the end of the day, the Steelheads came away with a win. Just as importantly, Utah and Portland both lost, so that's a full game gained in the West Division standings. We stay in the Bean for our second straight home game (!!!) and we host a team that actually knows how to wear a tie. More importantly, though, the Copperheads know how to win, so this will be a tough matchup. Hopefully our offense will show up (and be healthy), but if not, we'll have to rely on S Johnathan Abram and our defense to carry again. #NervesOfSteel #TENvsSEA

A dominating win over the Scorpions is what the Cyclones needed to both lift their spirits after a devastating loss last week, and put them tied for the division lead with Kentucky and St. Louis. We're looking to put ourselves on top of the division, and we'll have to face a tough challenge as we ship up to Boston this week. LB Pete Werner has been an incredible addition to the team this year, coming out of nowhere to be one of our best linebackers this year, and he'll lead out the Cyclones in our traditional road sets once again as we look to defeat Boston to lead the Central.

Well, the Reapers were a little too hot to handle. Oh well, we fought for awhile there, but Carolina ended up being the greatest eyesore of them all. We stay at home this week to face the Toronto Beavers, so hopefully we can have a bit of a restful week. Oh, and we have a new quarterback starting this week. Hopefully he's better than Matt Ryan.
