Another loss for the Stegos against Minnesota A&M has them facing a pretty bad scenario if they want to make something of the season. This week, we stay on the road and head to the hellish land known as Ohio, where we take on conference rival Ohio A&M for the final time this year. Sophomore RB Sieh Bangura performed well in his first appearence last week in one of the few good performances by a Stego, and he'll get the start once more in our alternate away set of green helmets, white jerseys, and green pants.

Sorry, didn't have time for a cool new graphic this week. Once we have teams clinch bowl eligibility we will start designing the extra bowl games. This will be a fun design sprint so get ready! We are looking for legitimate sounding bowl games and locations.

TWO losses in a row? That's not cool. I don't know why he didn't play, but missing my QB this week didn't help, that's for sure. So this week, we're going to head to Yellowstone to take on the Moose. We're going to feature the man who got 3 touchdowns for me last week, Tre Harris! #DubState

St.Laurent went to Surrey and beat Semiahmoo in an all-Canadian clash to get back to .500. The Patriotes will be looking to clinch bowl eligibility as they return home to take on Hershey, who beat them in the first match-up between the two colleges. St. Laurent will be wearing navy from head to toe against the Wildcats and our featured player of the week is Nathaniel Dell, who caught two touchdowns last week and added 93 yards receiving. #GoPatsGo #STLvsHC

Well, it was a sloppy game in South Carolina, but at the end of the day, the Angels came away with a loss. Nouvelle France has now taken control of the division lead on a tiebreaker and they control their own destiny moving forward. With just two weeks in the regular season, and only one conference game remaining, we're running out of time to pull back ahead. We'll be keeping a close eye on the UNF-UFO game, but we're shipping up to Boston to take on St. Brendan's in our second out-of-conference matchup of the season. QB KJ Jefferson returns this week, so he gets to show off the 1972 throwbacks. #JIUceIsForever

The Stegos secured a rebound win against Ohio A&M for any hope of them reaching a bowl game, with big games from QB Sam Hartman and RB Khalan Laborn to put us over the top. This week is our trap game as we return home for the final time this season, and sophomore WR Devontez Walker will welcome conference rival UC-Orange into Durango to win our final home game this year. We will be wearing our traditional home set for the last time this season against the Packers, with purple helmets, green jerseys, and white pants.

The week 8 power rankings has arrived, now with more change than ever! The only things that didn't change were the top 3 and bottom 3 teams, but the middle got scrambled. The 4th-12th positions got all jumbled up after last week, with Nouvelle France out of the top 5 for the first time this year, and St. Laurent and Wichita A&M back in striking distance of the top 10. UF-Orlando was the largest faller, dropping 7 spots and out of the top 10 entirely.
And with the coaches poll, it only took 2 weeks to get a tie. Twice in the same poll. And it dealt with the #1 spot. We love ties. Anyway, Nouvelle France broke the tie with Minnesota A&M to become the new #1 team, with the number of #1 votes breaking the tie in the Musketeers' favor. Riel entered the top 10 for the first time, tying with Pennsylvania Commonwealth, but Penn Comm won the tie based on having higher placement votes than Riel (Penn Comm had 6th place votes as its best placement, Riel had 7th as its best).

A bit late on the release, but it's a pivotal game this weekend against our rival Twin Cities this week as the Rebels aim to become bowl eligible. We have some fresh blood on the field this week with a few players on the bye, most notably WR Julian Fleming, who is showcasing the usual road uniforms.

For the second-to-last time this season I will be opening the coaches poll to those who wish to participate. Because I am once again posting this way too late, I will be extending it an extra day to Wednesday night, so get your votes in before then.
