Another loss puts St. Laurent at 2-4 on the year as we head back home to face off against Penn Commonwealth for the 2nd time this season. The last time these two faced off, the Patriotes beat the Big Blue, so they look to sweep the season series this week. Saint Laurent will wear their usual home set (Navy-Navy-Navy-Red) against Penn Commonwealth. The man leading the team onto the field at Stade Papineau will be our featured player, running back La'Damian Webb. #GoPatsGo #STLvsPCU

With the 2022 AltCAA football season winding down, it's time I introduce one more addition to the polls this year: the coaches poll. Instead of relying on the standings or my power rankings to determine how good your team is, now you'll be ranked based on how others would rank the teams. For the last few weeks, I'll do my best to post the poll by Saturday night or Sunday and give you until Tuesday to get your input. For the most part, it's a simple poll, just select which team you'd rank 1st, 2nd, etc. The results will be compiled and released around the same time the DPR comes out. And with that, you'll have until this Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. EST to get your votes in. And with that, get your vote on!

Well, we couldn't adapt to Canadian rules football against Riel and took the loss. Did you know you can get a single point from a rouge? And the goalposts are on the goal line? CRAZY!
Either way, this week we're back in the great state of Wisconsin to take a on Minnesota A&M. We're going back to basics with our traditional home set with the black helmets, black jerseys and orange pants. With quarterback Drake Maye getting the week off, we're showcasing the man who will be under center this week, quarterback Todd Centeio!

After another late win against Penn Commonwealth, St. Laurent finds themselves back on track to bowl eligibility. They look to continue on that track as they head out to the other side of Canada to take on the Semiahmoo Whalers. The Patriotes bring their standard away set (Navy-White-White-Navy) to Surrey, and our featured player this week is wide receiver Jalen McMillan. #GoPatsGo #STLvsSU

After a rough week, both the Highlanders and the Crusaders will have to win out in order to keep their postseason hopes alive. Both teams will be in their normal white road uniforms as Charlotte takes on UFO and Calvert faces Hershey. #EverUpward #DefendTheBay

It only took us one week to get back in the win column and get back at the top of the standings. It probably still won't be enough to get us to #1 in the power rankings or the new poll, but hey, that's not important. What is important is this game with Nouvelle France. A UNF win would leapfrog them into the Southern V lead, while a JIU win would clinch a conference title for the Angels. With everything on the line this week, we only have one man to turn to. It's the one, the only, the Thiccer Kicker himself, Harrison Mevis! #JIUceIsForever

The Rebels pulled off a huge upset last week and we hope to keep the train rolling against Wichita A&M. It's the usual jerseys for this game, featuring our kicker Peyton Henry. #GoRebels #TheRielDeal

We have another week of the AltCAA power rankings, and this time we have two polls! The first is my standard rankings, which are as follows. Hershey was one of the biggest climbers this week after posting the highest point total of the season so far, but isn't enough to displace either Calvert or Minnesota A&M from the top 2 spots. Also rising 7 spots is Yellowstone, who are finally coming out into their own and are poised to compete for the Super West title. Riel is the only other new team in the top 10, replacing Semiahmoo after the Whalers entered a skid and got crushed by Yellowstone. The bottom 2 stay the same, as UC-Orange rightfully remains at the bottom after posting an abysmal point total of 45.
And new for this week (with a suggestion from the community), we have a second poll, this time from the coaches themselves! Coaches selected their top 10 teams from the AltCAA in order of 1-10, with 1st place receiving 10 points, 2nd receiving 9, and so on and so forth. The numbers to the right of the teams in the top 10 represent the number of first place votes they received. And with that out of the way, here's how the public voted! Wisconsin State received the top spot after getting 5 first place votes out of 9, and never received a place lower than 3rd. Johns Island comes in second with 3 first place votes, leaving the final first place vote going to Calvert. Not surprising coming from me, but can be from others. The top three of Wisconsin State, Johns Island, and Nouvelle France ate up a lot of the top votes, as they were far and away the top vote getters compared to the rest of the teams that did receive votes.

Gameday is taking the day off due to me nursing a hangover.
Gameday procedures will continue next week.
