If we’re only focused on the legacy project years for titles, this means the years prior to the legacy project are ours to decide. I still choose Clemson.

Oh, fair game? If that's the case....
I remember the 1966-67 AltCAA year like it was yesterday. That was the year Hershey beat Asnerbrook by 42 to claim the National title. The embarrassing defeat would send Asnerbrook fans into dark denial that lasts to this day. Some alumni can still be heard claiming that they won the 1966-67 title on random internet boards, despite the events that actually took place.

Re: AltCAA Legacy Project

Everybody remembers the great 1966-67 AltCAA football national title game, where the universe split into more than six separate timelines, and every single school won the national title (except Charlotte, who did not field a top-level team until 1996).

also johns island, who went 1-9 that year, and had to vacate that win because head coach argus mcscoot bought his players ice cream after the game

Residents of the Inland Empire know the Inland Empire Centurions won.

Re: AltCAA Legacy Project

I believe it is my pick

The Meridian State Boll Weevils have been consistently above average as of late, but absolutely nosedived a few years ago and the recovery is just starting.

Re: AltCAA Legacy Project

Our only claim during that season was being a literal doormat.

Charlotte Racers (2016 AltHL Champions) St. Louis Explorers (2000 & 2011 AltBowl Champions) Minnesota Giants (2000, 2004, 2006 & 2014 AltBA Champions)

Re: AltCAA Legacy Project

At least you guys were Independent colleges in the 1966 season...we were stuck under the ownership of the Stickmen at MCI.

Unfortunately, the game that was vacated due to ice cream misconduct was a 103-1 win against Hershey. The historic “Ice Cream Sunday” game would end up being given back to Hershey as a win for some bizarre reason. This altered result (that was very much deserved after Johns Island’s sickening conduct) restored Hershey’s perfect record that was needed to make the National Championship game.

*1995

Why yes, my school's rise to football prominence does coincide exactly with when the Legacy Project started.

That said, of course, Charlotte claims every football title not from 95-15. You can't prove otherwise.
