Re: The AltHL Season 2021

From 2 to 15? You didn’t replace the Sawblades with the Scarecrows in this, right?

Yo, my gut also says that the West is going to be the most competitive. How convenient!

Re: The AltHL Season 2021

The Chevs are happy to start atop the Super Science. Definitely are starting the season with a lot of guys injured. So we'll have to weather the storm a bit. Looking forward to another season. Things didn't end the way we wanted them to last season.

Re: The AltHL Season 2021

Guess what? It's power rankings time!. We have no Super Science™ here, but only a fresh JHALO ranking. All teams started out the same (hence no preseason rankings) and now are ranked based on score and strength of win. What makes this year's AltHL formula unique is that strength of schedule is now based on what your opponent scored that week, so losing 162-146 hurts less than losing 62-46. If you are simply crushed by a once-in-a-lifetime score, your SoS will treat you kindly, rather than if you can't beat even a pathetic small score. Congrats to last year's champs, Halifax, for topping the rankings once again.

Re: The AltHL Season 2021

Alaska tenth in the power rankings? I did not expect to start that high. Don't think I'll end up much higher than that though, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Re: The AltHL Season 2021

Alright, 16? Way too high. There's clearly a problem with JHALO, and I don't know how to fix it.

Re: The AltHL Season 2021

Hell yeah! I like starting the season at 3rd. Minnesota did give us a great fight down the stretch, but I'm glad we came out with a close win.
