Great win by Montreal. They might actually make the playoffs with how good they have been playing these past few weeks.

Alright, Providence clinches the east! Both Louisville and London are formidable teams, but the Victors beating the Thunder makes them weaker than they were before.

At this point, things are really looking like a two-horse race for the championship between Lousiville and London but I am still holding out hope that my Gold Stars can work a little post-season magic. O'Rourke has been fantastic this season and could reach another gear in the postseason which could lead us past one of the two juggernauts in the West.

QB Mike Key maintained his perfect record as a starting QB with another win over the lowly Raiders.
It was a tight game that was one late in the 4th with Key leading a strong drive to score the game-winning touchdown. 
The win does give the Victors their best record in franchise history at 5-6-1.
The Raiders had a much better game with QB Terry Bourbon getting the start, which might mean he has a chance to return to the team next season.

A stellar duel in Louisville for the West Division came down to the wire.
Both teams went back and forth trying to get an upper hand.
Louisville had the lead late, but QB Riley Kiernan would manage to pick apart the Thunder defence to take one last shot at the endzone. 
Kiernan would find WR Jack Duncan open for the touchdown that would cut the lead down to 1. 
They would go for 2 since a tie would mean the Thunder win the division.
On the attempt, Kiernan would roll out and would find WR Russell Wilcox, who would make a difficult catch to give the Tigers their second straight West Division title.

Several other veterans had strong days with LB Lloyd Mathis grabbing a forced fumble and S Frazier Brooks had a pick,
The Royals started QB Lee Rogers who had an okay game, but RB Corbyn Knight made his presence known with the team’s lone touchdown.

The Rouge would clinch the final spot in the East Division playoffs with a win over the Gold Stars which forced the Independents into the West for the playoffs. 
QB Gene Bishop had a strong game for the Rouge as well as RB Scott Mallard-White as the team continued their recent hot streak heading into the playoffs.
Providence started QB Christian Stewart and he performed well with a pair of touchdown passes to keep the team in the game until the final few minutes.

In the final send-off for The Athletics, the Boston Independents crushed them while giving some younger players a chance after their fate was sealed with the Montreal win.
QB Randy Sellers and QB Bart Swayze would end up splitting the game with Swayze getting a passing touchdown.
The Athletics would struggle in the first half, but they would make it up in the second half with QB Michael Benedict having a strong game where he threw his first career touchdown.

East Division Semi-Final - Ottawa Royals VS. Montreal Rouge
Head-to-Head: W2 OTT 27-22 MTL, W6 MTL 14-21 OTT
A classic Canadian rivalry will kick off the playoffs. However, it will be a match between a red hot team and a team that has been cooling off. The Rouge closed out the season with 5 straight wins that made them the least desired opponent in the first round of the playoffs. The Royals have not been quite as strong with only 2 wins in their last 6 which means they are not looking the best going in. Montreal is hungry for a playoff win, which they have not had since the 1953 McCallister Cup, so they will be throwing everything out there on the field. As for the Royals, they will be aiming to continue their streak of divisional playoff wins which they have not lost since 1953. Overall, Montreal is the hot hand and I don’t think their season ends yet.

West Division Semi-Final - Louisville Thunder VS. Boston Independents
Head-to-Head: W3 BOS 26-20 LOU
The Thunder have stumbled in the past couple of weeks with back-to-back losses, but they were only by a combined 3 points so they are certainly still one of the teams to beat. Boston was one of 3 teams to beat the Thunder, however, they did do it with QB Nathaniel Braddock in the lineup. Still, the Thunder have been the best team overall all season so it is very much in their favour at home against the Independents.
