Day 2 in and three out of the four teams came roaring back! Portland came back as well but Calgary put up another 28 points! Wednesday is a rather light NHL slate so every point will matter.

Just now noticing this, but that Halifax-Boston score should be reversed. Currently the only higher seed winning is Winnipeg over Quebec.

For those curious, our glorious commissioner has been out sick with COVID, so I'll fill you all in on the last couple days of playoff action. (Don't worry, he's recovering and should be back to posting tomorrow.)

There are still a few games going at the time of me writing this so the Saturday report will have to wait. It's an exciting week for AltHL hockey and a great start to the playoffs!

After a surprising first round we have reached our final four. Halifax is the only home team to advance to the second round. While the 6,7, and 8 seeds surged to victories.
Halifax put up over 200 points for the second time in three weeks. They will take on the Denver Bighorns who defeated the Chevaliers for the second time this season. The 'Horns were led by the aging veterans Sidney Crosby and Claude Giroux. Jonathan Marchesault also had a heck of a week. Alex Nedeljkovic was stellar in between the pipes winning two games.
There is not much to not like with the Fishers game this week. Barkov, O'Reilly, Stone, and Fialla all head 3+ goals. Halifax was able to put up over 200 points despite their star Leon Draisaitl only contributing 1 point all week.
Calgary takes on Quebec in a battle that will ensure that we will have at least one Canadian team in the finals. The Wranglers were led by Huberdeau and Bennett. The Wranglers outlasted Portland in the arms race that was the first round. The two teams rotated through players at a feverish pace to make it to the second round. They will take on the lucky Owls from the QC. Quebec would have only beaten Winnipeg last week. But luckily that was the only team that they needed to beat.

Dear Denver,
Please win. I want an outdoors final. It would be funny.

Dear Calgary,
I am trying my best. I agree that an outdoors final would be funny.
