Welcome everyone to the first (really the 21st) AltFL Season. 24 teams vying to win AltBowl XXI. Who will be the two teams in playing for it all in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in February.
In the coming days we will roll out our preseason power rankings and other fun things to get ready for the season. Remember to set your lineups!
To add another layer of fun to the season we are going to play ALTFL KNOCKOUT
For those of you who are not familiar with the game...here are the rules. It is very simple.
1.) Participating players select one team per week who they think is a LOCK to win.
2.) The trick is...once you pick that team you can never pick them again. So you have to be strategic as to which week to use which team.
3.) If the team you selected wins you advance to week 2 where you pick your second team. If your team loses you are out of the game. We go until there is only one player remaining.
4.) By opening kickoff on Thursday night you must PM your pick.
5.) I'll release the results on Tuesday morning.
Here are the matchups for Week 1. I provided the 'spread' based off of the projected points from Fantrax. I suggest perusing through the team rosters on Fantrax to see who you think are the better teams. Like I said we will be releasing our scientific power rankings in the next day or so.

Can't wait! Just a couple questions:
How is the location of the Alt Bowl chosen, and why is it Milwaukee this year?
Second, related to that question, are we going to make Alt Bowl logos?
Excited for the season, and I'll be sure to send you my pick Gritty!

I was just selecting the Alt Bowl location based on where it is in the NFL. So the Mallards are the Bucs - the Bucs are hosting this year's Super Bowl therefore associative property = Alt Bowl in Milwaukee. And yes! I'm down for people designing logos for the game.

Ok, that's what I assumed. Good to know! One last thing, the spread for the Scarecrows should be 11, not 21.

Lots of hot takes, jawing, owners fighting, and some cutthroat trade deals.

the owners fighting is the main attraction is it not?

Holy spread...... Idk how the defense are going to win by 21 let alone score 21, but I'll accept it.
