Ha! I knew someone was going to mention that.  Right up until I hit submit I was thinking about fudging the scores.  Then I figured go with it.  Luckily the Redskins (Scorpions) will not be good for much longer and this will probably never happen again.

I thought Rugrat was supposed to take control of the Scorpions franchise, now that he's back from suspension...

That's what I believed as well, but maybe Rugrat has bowed out with missing the draft and such?

I’m still here. I’ll check with Gritty and see what he says

Re: AltFL Legacy

Alt Bowl III - live from Los Angeles

(Note: I forgot to switch the seeding for Philadelphia.  They should be #4 not #1).

I believe you mean the Football Team.

Yes that's a dollar in the bucket. It's gonna take a second to get used to.

Re: AltFL Legacy

Time for the fourth season of the AltFL Legacy Project!

Just a heads up, schedule wise this week will be a little weird for me.  I usually am free in the mornings to get all of the Alt stuff out but this week will be a little different. I should be able to get everything out on the right day but just in case now you know.

The 2003 Season

*The AltFL adopted its first free agency system
*CBS struck a deal to broadcast all South and Central Division games while FOX struck a deal with the North and West Division.
*The play clock was reduced from 45 to 40 seconds.
*Ineligible receiver down field prior to the pass was added
*The passer can now throw away a pass as long as they are out of the pocket and the ball passes the line of scrimmage.
*The spike was added

The Draft

First Round
1 - Copperheads - Drew Bledsoe - QB - Washington State
2 - Stallions - Rick Mirer - QB - Notre Dame
3 - Hammerheads - Garrison Hearst - RB - Georgia
4 - Destroyers - Marvin Jones - LB - Florida State
5 - Voyageurs - John Copeland - DL - Alabama
6 - Mallards - Eric Curry - DL - Alabama
8 - Bandits - Willie Roaf - OL - LA Tech
9 - Steelheads - Lincoln Kennedy - OL - Washington
10 - Vulcans - Jerome Bettis - RB - Notre Dame

11 - Nightriders - Dan Williams - DL - Toledo
12 - Sabercats - Patrick Bates - DB - Texas AM
14 - Galactics - Steve Everett - OL - Michigan
15 - Beavers - Wayne Simmons - LB - Clemson
17 - Scorpions - Tom Carter - DB - Notre Dame
18 - Hammerheads - Ernest Dye - OL - South Carolina
19 - Scarecrows - Lester Holmes - OL - Jackson State
20 - Bandits - Irv Smith - TE - Notre Dame
21 - Cyclones - Robert Smith - RB - Ohio State
22 - Emperors - Darrien Gordon - DB - Stanford
23 - Brawlers - Deon Figures - DB - Colorado
24 - Scarecrows - Leonard Renfro - DL - Colorado
25 - Phantoms - OJ McDuffie - WR - Penn State
26 - Explorers - Dana Stubblefield - DL - Kansas
27 - Explorers - Todd Kelly - DL - Tennessee
29 - Terriers - George Teague - DB - Alabama
------------
40 - Bolts - Michael Strahan - DL - Texas Southern
41 - Emperors - Natrone Means - RB - UNC
70 - Nightriders - Jason Elam - K - Hawaii
74 - Reapers - Will Shields - OL - Nebraska
82 - Mallards - John Lynch - DB - Stanford
89 - Bandits - Lorenzo Neal - FB - Fresno State
118 - Terriers - Mark Brunell - QB - Washington
160 - Scorpions - Frank Wycheck - TE - Maryland
196 - Grizzlies - Brock Marion - DB - Nevada
198 - Copperheads - Troy Brown - WR - Marshall
207 - Bolts - Jessie Armstead - LB - Miami
219 - Explorers - Elvis Grbac - QB - Michigan
222 - Emperors - Trent Green - QB - Indiana

Earlier I said that we were trying to make sure that a last place team wouldn't make the playoffs. BUT since we adopted new tie breakers this year that happened.  The North was insane and the Emperors outlasted Dallas, San Diego, and Kansas City for the final spot.

The 2003 Wildcard Round

#9 Toronto Beavers @ #8 Boston Nightriders

#10 Philadelphia Brawlers @ #7 Utah Raptors

#11 Chicago Cyclones @ #6 Los Angeles Sabercats

#12 New York Emperors @ #5 Buffalo Bolts

Re: AltFL Legacy

Sweet!  Great to be back in the playoffs!  We've never had Cyclones on the menu before, but other than having some bad gas, I think we'll be satisfied!
