We can't afford to make the problem of under representation of Canada that the NHL has.

All interesting choices. We will definitely get there as the season progresses.

#1 Toronto Terriers versus #4 Vancouver Glaciers
After three straight Canadian Shield championships the Terriers put together an almost historic season.  With 124 points the T-Dogs came only in second to their record of 131 regular season points.  This year, the finals rematch with the Glaciers raised some eye brows.  The Glaciers end the Terriers dynastic run to win their third title.

#2 Winnipeg Arrows versus #3 Minnesota Loons
One of the league's fiercest rivalries is renewed as these two teams make it back to the playoffs.  The Arrows played strong in the first three games but it was the Loons who stormed back with three straight wins to end the series.

While St. Louis also solves the travel problems, there’s a bigger range of potential fans if we go to KC. St. Louis might be infringing on Chicago Ghosts territory, thus limiting the new fan outreach. In the same vein, KC is far enough from both Chicago and Denver to make a case for new fans in Kansas and Missouri. So it’s not that we are overlooking St. Louis, we’re more looking at the positives each offer.

I wasn’t talking down St. Louis, I think both KC and St. Louis could feasibly enter the league at the same time, actually. My goal next expansion is to get both Charlotte and Toronto into the East. Charlotte shouldn’t have to travel to Winnipeg and Denver for divisional games. So if we expand by say, 4 teams, I’d go for having KC, St. Louis, Miami, and Edmonton. Denver would be shifted to the West, KC and St. Louis into the Central, and Charlotte shifts East to join Miami. My point isn’t to discredit St. Louis as a future AltHL franchise location, it’s to show KC as a more convenient location should expansion numbers be limited.

I think the reason for this new thinking has a lot to do with the growing interest in ownership plus maybe some other motives that current owners may have caused.

I still plan on pushing hard for Ottawa. Ain't going down without a fight.
