Next on my Legacy Rankings are the San Francisco Dragons. The Dragons had early success by winning 3 out of the first 4 West Division Titles. It wasn't until 2014 that the Dragons finally broke through and won the Adams. Throughout the Legacy Project the Dragons went to the finals four times.
The Dragons, owned by Burmy have the unique distinction as being the last franchise selected in the Owner Draft. Northern California's team would be the flag bearer if we expanded this project to include all of AltHL history.
PATRICK ROY is the second inductee into the AltHL Pantheon. Patrick Roy won the Goalie of the Year Award 4 times. Although he never won an Adams with the Dragons he turned around the Chevaliers and won two with Montreal. Roy is one of the few players that is on the Legacy Teams of two different franchises.

No Hasek in the Pantheon? How many MVP's does a guy gotta win? I'm smelling some winning bias here.

Love Saint Patrick, but its ramen funny seeing him winning two cups with Montreal.
To go out in a tangent, San Fran looks awesome.I love the colour scheme and the design is amazing. The ULCAesque striping and the logo look gorgeous.

I voted based on his American credentials, not the Canadian ones, but welcome to the Pantheon, Patrick Jacques Roy.

The Charlotte Racers...oh the Charlotte Racers. They came into our world in a unique way and have been a conversation of controversy and drama ever since. The AltHL began with 16 original members. Then due to our accepted league alignment and our general desire to give Minnesota a 'friend' and the Sun Belt a hockey team we had our first round of expansion to include the Charlotte Racers and the Winnipeg Arrows. Charlotte was vigorously lobbied for by QCS. This lobbying helped the underdog Charlotte submission rise to the top and eventually become the league's 18th franchise.
On the day of the owner draft it seemed as if the Racers were going to fall to QCS at #15. But in a dramatic turn of events, Edgeworth decided to snap up the Racers as their own. This sparked heartbreak, excitement and a whole lot of drama for our first Alt Universe Owner Draft.
While the other teams so far on our power rankings were cursed by our Legacy Project time span the Racers were blessed. The time span of 1990 - 2010 was bookended by the Racers most successful eras. The Racers started out with Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr and they ended the project with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. At the end of the project the Racers won 10 out of 20 MVP Awards. They had 24 all stars and won 771 games. They made the playoffs 14 out of the 20 seasons.
You would think with all of their star power and regular season success the Racers would have a trophy case filled with Adams Cups. However the Lemieux/Jagr era was marred by a string of postseason failures. Many AltHL fans even wondered if there were a Draft Day Curse. A karma induced specter that loomed over the city of Charlotte. The curse lifted when a young Sidney Crosby led the Racers to an undefeated postseason.
Both Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr are proud inductees into the AltHL Pantheon. Mario Lemieux won 4 MVP awards. That takes into account back injuries that made it impossible for him to even tie his own skates. He also fought through a bout Hodgkin's Lymphoma. In his absence Jagr took the reigns winning four MVP awards of his own. Jagr ended up moving on to play in both Seattle and Philadelphia.
Tomorrow I'll be a little busy traveling but I should be able to post at least #11 a little later in the evening.

Plus I forgot to mention, Gargoyles Fans would likely loathe Charlotte for a long time given one of the more infamous injuries that took place by Ulf. Cam Neely if you don't know.

I’d put Flower on the all time team over Barrasso due to constant playoff failure. Plus, I’m stunned to see Jagr in the Pantheon because I think he’s still playing in Kladno. And in all fairness, I did state that I bought the team prior to this 2020-2021 season, so...
All jargon aside, welcome to the Pantheon Mario Lemieux and Jaromír Jágr.

Having a strong goalie corps is a point of pure pride for us in the Dragon's Keep...glad to have you in the Pantheon, St. Pat!

Seawolves fans would wish that the Legacy Project would extend another ten years. The long awaited arrival of Alexander Ovechkin came with 2 MVP Awards and 2 Adams Cup Finals Appearances. But the Seawolves trophy case is filled with hardware from earlier in the Project.
Seattle defeated San Francisco in order to legitimize the West Division. Their Adams Cup title was the first for the West Division. For a large portion of the Legacy Project the Seawolves were led by unknown or underrated players. They were paced offensively by Peter Bondra and anchored defensively by Sergei Gonchar. They won four GOY Awards by Jim Carey and Olaf Kolzig.
The Seawolves belong in a tier of teams that were underrated during the Legacy Project. Owned by CC they would have liked to won more hardware but they can't be too upset with their record, 9 playoff appearances, 5 West Titles and 2 Adams Cups.

Not bad. I think we will see quite a bit of success in the future.
