Good question. I think that Fantrax would allow us to do a draft for next year.  But since this NHL season isn't over yet you could be drafting players that may end up on new teams next offseason.  Just playing the waiting game right now.

An expansion after that, correct? Got to start my campaigning and get all the promotional crap going. Radio interviews, buttons, t-shirts, etc...

Interesting note: While we are not using the 2020 Covid Playoffs for the AltHL it is interesting that there are number of AltHL only matchups in the Qualifying Round:

The Canadian Shield XVIII Playoffs

#1 Toronto Terriers versus #4 Vancouver Glaciers
I feel like these two teams play every year in the playoffs.  With years running out of the Legacy Project every matchup could be the last time. Who'll come out on top?

#2 Minnesota Loons versus #3 Montreal Chevaliers
The Loons are coming off Finals losses in 3 of the last 4 seasons.  Their consistency is impressive but there ability to finish leaves a little to be desired. The Chevs have broken through into the playoffs hoping to capture their third Shield.

The 2017 Adams Cup Playoffs

#1 San Francisco Dragons versus #4 Los Angeles Titans
The Golden State clash comes center stage for the right to make it to the Finals.

#2 Charlotte Racers versus #3 New York Gargoyles
In the 17 seasons of the AHA at least one of these two teams have been in the playoffs all but one season.  However they only have ever met one another time in the postseason.
