Capitals ain't a bad draw for recent players...but considering that most of their good players are recent that doesn't leave a lot to work with in the past.
A recent championship win is a good thing though.

LA has only won one divisional championship in 1993. Between the 1990s to the 2010s, they were beaten:
=in the Finals once.
=in the Conference Finals twice
=in the Quarter Finals six times
=because they didn't make it to the playoffs 11 times.
Doesn't mean Quebec can't win one. Bring it on!
P.S. I set the founding date as early as about 1912, around the time the Quebec Bulldogs won their first-ever Stanley Cup.

The Blackhawks sucked between 97 and 07 but hopefully we can land a couple of Cups before and after. I really don't much much about the Blackhawks but I'll definitely be digging into them now to see how they'll help shape the Kingfishers.

I got the Habs! They won the '93 Stanley Cup, two division titles, and were perennial contenders (Plus they had Patrick Roy for the first few years of the decade, so that goes for something).

I'm just glad I didn't get the ever disappointing post-2010 Sabres era
I'll take Hasek and Prime Ryan Miller, even Pat LaFontaine, and Miroslav Satan, even the ol'Jet in Dale Hawerchuk for a few years!
I'm excited to get to know more Sabres history. It is a team I don't really know a whole lot about during this era except the Stanley Cup goal VS. Stars
