The teams are paired up with an NHL team's record and players from a season and so they don't actually play out the games they just will get a record. And because there are less AtlHL teams than the NHL teams there are some teams that have no pairs to AtlHL teams and aren't in the league, like the new expansion teams.

Welp, no playoff appearances just yet.  Seems the Dragons and Seawolves have our number..... for now.  Owner Stickman sees things changing soon!  (Or at least, so says his paid personal psychic......which he denies having of course).

The Canadian Shield III Playoffs 

#2 Montreal Chevaliers versus #3 Toronto Terriers
The Kingfishers, Terriers and Chevaliers all ended the season with the same number of wins.  The tiebreakers came down to the final days of the season.  The way that it ended pitted arch rivals Montreal and Toronto against one another for the first time in the playoffs.  The Terriers broke through in 2002 while the Chevs arrived a year later.  The Terriers rudely welcomed the Chevs to the playoffs with a series win in 5 games.
