London is finally playing at the level they were at last season, hopefully they don't make any missteps for the rest of the season.

Wow, off to a great start Thunder, let's keep it up!

I think this league broke my moral code. I have actually ended up rooting for what is, in real life, my hated rival Montreal.

0-5 just hurts to even think about. I mean we were not predicted to be a playoff team but with some of the talent they have on the offense, they should have one or two wins by now.

This is also the first time the Rouge have beaten the Royals since Week 5 of 1954.QB Jean Matieau and the Royals offence struggled to get the ball moving and Matieau even made a rare mistake late and threw a pick that Montreal DB Quentin Xavier would take to the house.

TRADE ALERT
Midway through the week, the Long Island Raiders decided to make a move to try and fix their issues in the backfield with RB Dareion Fields done for pretty much the rest of the season. They would go to the Buffalo Blue Wings who are still looking to get more assets.
The Raiders would acquire RB Johnnie Stafford and OL Forrest Cross from Buffalo in exchange for OL Sun Guanyu and a 1961 3rd Round Pick.
Stafford will fill the needed starting role for the Raiders, however, he will likely step in as the #2 back in their week 7 game due to only having one full practice with the team. As for Buffalo, Guanyu will be a good long-term addition being only 25-years-old. He will slide in for Forrest Cross on the O-line.

Another rainy night for Boston and Long Island ended with the Independents grabbing their 5th straight win.

The Gold Stars finally got into the win column after fending off a late Royals comeback in an offensive shootout.QB Connor O’Rourke had a huge game throwing 3 touchdowns and 324 Yards.
QB Jean Matieau was strong as well for the Royals but struggled early on with lots of Providence pressure coming from the line and former Royals DC, Providence HC Harry Meadows was able to figure out the great QB and hold him off in the first half.
DL Calias McDonough put lots of pressure on Matieau and had 3 sacks on the day and a forced fumble.S Jumon Cobb was the one that came up with a huge forced fumble in the 4th to stop Ottawa in their own end and allow Devonshire to ice the game on his second TD.
The Royals suffered back-to-back regular-season losses for the first time since weeks 6 and 7 in 1956.

Both teams had moments on offence and defence with Rouge LB Sam Fitzroy getting a forced fumble and S Garet deVale getting a pick and then LB Scotty Williams getting a fumble for the Athletics.
The Rouge are sitting 6-1 and are becoming favourites to potentially win the very tough East Division which just saw the Royals lose their second straight.

Another close battle came down to a late field goal for the Raiders who looks a bit better in their tough battle against the league-best Rouge.RB Johnnie Stafford was in the starting role and was able to give the Raider offence some stability and get them to the endzone.
QB Stanislav Ovechkin and RB Scott Mallard-White kept the Rouge in the game, but their defence was not able to stall out Painter and the Raiders on their late drive.
LB Rusty McVee and DL Timmy Kerr were able to grab fumbles on the day, while DB Quentin Xavier did have an interception for Montreal.

An eventful 4th quarter between the NAAF’s two hottest teams ends with the Tigers scoring a last-second field goal to win the game.
London’s offence went through Clifford Russell with two of their top WRs out, but that would result in Russell finding the endzone twice.
Boston found a groove with their pass game early on which got them to the endzone.

Ottawa got their revenge for their loss last week with a tight win over the Gold Stars.
Providence’s offence was not able to replicate their 38 point performance from last week, it was quite evident early on when DB Mingan Oliver took back an interception for a touchdown.
QB Jean Matieau didn’t throw a touchdown in a game which has not happened in a while.
