I love the update on the Monarchs logo. I have a feeling this one will stick around for a long time.

If you don't mind, I have a question about the ECHO universe: What are the teams in the Ontario Elite Hockey League called? Also, are there any more semi pro hockey leagues in this universe? Or is it too early to reveal such things without spoiling anything?

I like the changes to the Monarchs logo, the lone C looks a lot cleaner on the crown!

1951 ECHO Draft

Round 1

1. FRE | G Victor Carbonneau | St-Hyacinthe, QC - Kingsfan11
With the first overall pick, the Stars wasted no time taking the man they believed would be their goalie of the future, Victor Carbonneau. Carbonneau will probably be put into the starting role immediately due to the lack of great competition in the net in Fredericton.

2. TRV | D Dawson Newton | Charlottetown, PEI - Burmy87
Trois-Rivières would use their first-round pick on the 6'2 defenseman in Dawson Newton, who they expect will be part of their defensive unit as a rookie.

3. STJ | W Andrew Postl | Mushaboom, NS - Dan O'Mac
The Admirals take the oldest of the Postl triplets with their 1st round pick, who should improve their depth on the wing.

4. QUE | C Hector Richard | Bonaventure, QC - DireBear
Quebec looked to improve its center depth and, with their 1st round pick, selected the proud Acadian center, Hector Richard. He should start his rookie season as a 3rd line center behind Alex Fortin and Lachlan Johnston but could eventually take over as the 2nd line center.

5. MTB | W Ernest Kessler | Ottawa, ON - DireBear
The Beavers would use their 1st round pick on winger Ernest Kessler, whose ability to be a clutch player and decent skills will help them get back to being a winning team.

6. CHA | C Timmy Overton | Punkeydoodles Corners, ON - Dan O'Mac
Needing some center depth badly, the Monarchs would select center Timmy Overton with their first-round pick. Overton's abilities as a skater will be of great use to a retooling Charlottetown team.

7. OTT | G Anthony Brown | Ottawa, ON - FC MacBeth
The Knights were targeting both highly rated hometown players with their pick and are glad to be at least able to take one of them in goaltender Anthony Brown. Brown should slot behind the Knights goalie tandem of Tom Mullings and David Moreau in the depth chart, but it wouldn't be far-fetched to see Brown in net for some games next season.

8. MON | D Bartholomé Carpentier | Sherbrooke, QC - DireBear
Moncton would select the massive, hard-hitting defenseman in Bartholomé Carpentier with their 1st round pick. Carpentier's tendency to use his body to stop the puck from getting to the net will be a great asset for the Generals.

9. MTM | W Edward Cho | Thetford Mines, QC - idm
The Métros would select the 2nd best winger in the draft class, Edward Cho, with the penultimate pick of the first round. Cho's physicality and excellent shot will significantly benefit the Métros as they try to reclaim the Sound Cup.

10. HFX | C Pierre Tremblay | Quebec City, QC - Kingsfan11
With the last pick of the 1st round, Halifax would take dynamic playmaking center Pierre Tremblay, who should start as a depth center but could be an excellent replacement for the aging Jermaine Thompson down the line.

Round 2

The second round would see a flurry of wingers be selected, including the hometown kid in Noah Boyd being selected by the Admirals and Quebec taking the youngest Postl triplet in Chris Postl. Of course, let's not forget the various defensemen being taken, including the goon in Vincent Lambton going to Ottawa and the towering Tyler Thompson getting taken by Trois-Rivières.

The Beavers would add a center in Hank Rodriguez, and then Charlottetown and Ottawa would take back-to-back wingers. Moncton would return with a center in Michael Vanier, but then the Métros and Highlanders would each take wingers to end the round.

1951 Re-sign Phase

The Montreal Beavers would give defenseman Brett Laleye and winger Edward MacAllister new three-year deals.

On the other side of Montreal, the Métros would hand out a new 5-year deal worth 429k per year to center Edouard Lefebvre, then a new 4-year deal worth 145k per year to winger Sage Steeves, and finally, a three-year deal worth 224k annually to goaltender Louis Giroux.

Ottawa would only re-sign one player, giving a new 2-year deal to goaltender David Moreau.

Quebec would give a new 5-year deal worth 311k annually to goaltender Patrick Bell, then a new four-year deal worth 540k per year to defenseman Étienne Tremblay and finally, a new two-year deal to defenseman Ezra MacLeod.

Trois-Rivières would only hand out one new contract, a 2-year, 112k-per-year deal to winger Lachlan MacNeil.

Charlottetown would only make on re-signing as they would give a new 2-year deal to defenseman Dominic Wilson.

Fredericton did not hand out any new contracts.

Halifax would give new contracts to multiple key players, starting with a new 5-year, 818k per year contract to defenseman Stanley Blackwood. The Highlanders would also give center Sean Fontana a 5-year deal, but worth 849k per year and then would re-sign goalie Tristan Campbell on a 4-year deal worth 177k annually. Finally, the defending champs would give a new two-year deal to winger Ron White.

Moncton would hand two new contracts: a 1.03 million/ year, five-year deal to center Allan Wilson and a 950k, five-year deal to defenseman Glen Wallace.

Saint John would give center Robert Davis a new 5-year deal worth 242k a year and winger Louis Moreau a new 4-year deal worth 389k per year. The Admirals would also re-sign winger Jonathan Jamal on a two-year deal and winger Nathan Stevenson on a three-year deal.
