Re: AltBA Season 2022

What's that? A big win over the division rival Olympians to avenge our week one loss? Heck yeah it was! The Emeralds have clawed their way back into this and are now in a three-way tie with the Olympians and Caribou atop the West Division. We're looking to keep things rolling back home, as we welcome the Spirits to The Dick. We've got the 57 Facets Alternates going again this week, shown off by last week's top scorer, Kevin Porter!

Re: AltBA Season 2022

Would you look at that? The Albuquerque Invaders have broken the record for most points scored in a week, a record previously held by *checks notes* the Albuquerque Invaders. After taking down the Schooners in convincing fashion, the best team in the West returns home to face off against the best team in the East: the New York Sentinels. Both teams are riding long win streaks - four for the Sents, eight for the Querq - but one of them has to end this week. One streak is guaranteed not to end, though, which is our streak of wearing our turquoise alternates, this week modeled by a healthy (for now) F Gordon Hayward. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #NYvsABQ

Re: AltBA Season 2022

The Emeralds came out big last week, beating the Spirits and leading the league in scoring on the week. We're looking to keep things rolling as we head on the road to take on the Indiana Cardinals. The Cardinals are finding their groove right now, coming off their highest score of the season last week. With division rival Vancouver up next week, the Emeralds are looking to take down the Cardinals and keep the momentum of this 4 game winning streak rolling. We're wearing the standard Evergreen set this week in Indianapolis, shown off here by last week's top scorer, Trae Young!

Re: AltBA Season 2022

Ow. The Invaders got beat up last week, both on the scoreboard and on the injury report. With many of our top players missing time last week, we simply couldn't keep up with a strong Sentinels attack, and as such, our eight-game winning streak has come to a close. To boot, while we still own the top spot in the AltBA, it's only thanks to a tiebreaker over our division rivals in Kansas City. With a strong New Orleans outfit coming to town, we'll need to get healthier in order to start up a new streak. With our winning streak over, we're ditching the alternates (at least for now), wearing the white homes, modeled by G/F Max Strus. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #NOvsABQ

Re: AltBA Season 2022

The Emeralds hold onto their share of the lead in the West Division of the West Conference with a convincing win over the Indiana Cardinals on the road. We head back to Seattle this week to host our rivals to the north as we begrudgingly welcome the Caribou to The Dick. This will be the Emeralds last home game of the regular season, and we hope to keep Vancouver's 5 game losing streak growing. We'll be in the standard Stratus set this week, shown off by last week's top scorer, Donovan Mitchell!

Re: AltBA Season 2022

The Invaders were really hoping to turn things around last week, but unfortunately, we kept invading the injury report. Thanks to that loss and some absolute chaos elsewhere, we now find ourselves in a seven-way tie for the best record in the league and worse, are second in the Western Conference. We now have to go on the road, but luckily, we don't have to go too far, as we head up to Denver to face a Mountaineers team that's been struggling all year. Hopefully we'll start to get back to full strength this week, and until that happens, players like G/F Hamidou Diallo will continue to help shoulder the load. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #ABQvsDEN

Re: AltBA Season 2022

After the Revelers pulled double duty last week (thankfully, only the Albuquerque game counts and not the Kansas City one, haha!), New Orleans announces that in their game against Honolulu, the Revlers will wear green alternate jerseys to mess with the pineapple bois.

Re: AltBA Season 2022

Battling through injuries, the Emeralds just didn't have enough to hang with the Caribou and took a loss, tightening up that race for the West Division title. This week we start a 4 game road trip to close out the season, as we head across the country to noted Mid-Atlantic/Midwest/Maritime Province of Maryland to take on the Baltimore Lancers. The Lancers are riding a four game win streak, and the Lancers look to put a stop to that. We're wearing the Evergreen set this week, shown off by last week's top scorer, Trae Young.

Re: AltBA Season 2022

It wasn't the prettiest win, but at this point, the Invaders will take what we can get. Unsurprisingly, we were able to beat Denver fairly easily, but now things get tougher, as we head up to Canada to take on the Caribou. Fortunately, though, we'll have a much healthier roster than we've had the last few weeks, so we should be able to make this one competitive at the very least. F/C Robert Williams III does have a questionable tag to start off the week, but when he has played, he's been spectacular, with 24 points and 24 rebounds last week. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #ABQvsVAN

Re: AltBA Season 2022

hey so I just noticed that the trade deadline for the altba is on march 1 which is during the first week of the playoffs. I know we're already heading toward the end of the season pretty soon here but I kinda feel like we should move that up a couple weeks (and maybe also move the althl trade deadline a bit while we're at it). what do y'all think
