Not all of them, but the vast majority will be, yes.

Re: Welcome to PUCH

Gimmie a High Five

Mr. Edward Earl Emerson turned his attention to revealing a new club and disappeared behind the curtain for quite some time, apparently having issues getting the next owner to get ready.

District United will be located in Washington D.C. and play their home games at the historic Union Center which only seats 5,500. The club will be sponsored by a rising company in DC called GEICO. District United will be owned and operated by DC native Archibald Atkinson IV, the middle son in the powerful Atkinson family who have been in politics and lawmaking for generations. Archie is the quiet one in the family despite having multiple law degrees has pursued other interests such as sports and leisure and has made it his mission to champion rescue organizations for both people and animals, much to the displeasure of his cutthroat family. Archie has been known to give too many second chances and believing too much in being able to save doomed projects, both human and otherwise. He's a sucker for a sob story and often gets bamboozled by con artists.

The head coach for DUHC will be Rudy Radko, 55, who is as petty as they come. He remembers even the smallest slights and will go out of his way to gain vengeance. He will be assisted by John Jamison, 44, who is loud and obnoxious and thinks shouting makes people understand things better. Vinny Vincenzo, 33, rounds out the staff and is a talented coach but has no understanding of teaching.

The identity for District United goes for a classic look with black, red, and white in a triple stripe pattern. The jerseys feature an upper chest stripe and narrow classic numbers. The logo goes with the diamond shape to mimic DC with an inset script D surrounding by double lines meant to mimic an abstract flower and represent the greater DC metro area. Or at least that's what Archie was trying to explain to the crowd before finally having a panic attack and abruptly leaving the podium area.

Emerson rolled his eyes and sighed loudly before slowly starting to reveal the next team.

C&C appreciated! Aaaand these are the first five teams. Tomorrow we start revealing the next five!

Re: Welcome to PUCH

Crazy that the Government Employee Insurance Company is bankrolling a shared team after only selling insurance to 1 specific group of people up until the mid 70s. The fact that the move to give everyone access to their services is the reason they are able to participate in an investment that is accessible to the general public is fascinating.

Let's Load Up the Six-Shooter

Mr. Edward Earl Emerson went back behind the curtain and brought back the oversized Canadian flag and hung it up. Then Emerson and the crowd waited for what seemed like forever as the new owner took his sweet time to emerge. They continued waiting. And waiting. Finally he appeared. Emerson threw up his hands in frustration and strode to the podium.

Monarques de Montreal, typically shortened to Monarques, will be located in Montreal, Quebec, and play their home games at the CN Centre which seats 8,500. The club will be sponsored by Canadian National Railway. New club owner and financier is Pierre P. Perrault who is a fellow accountant friend of Emerson. Perrault is about as OCD as they come, full of nervous ticks and analytical thinking that often paralyzes him both socially and in business. His inability to make quick decisions often hampers his relationships as he takes too long to analyze every detail and contingency. He will typically be the last person to decide or vote or come to any conclusions. However, he's meticulous with details and background information.

The club will be coached by Fredric Francouz, 44, who's got a hot mouth and is always yapping about something. Sometimes in English, sometimes in French, sometimes both. He's assisted by Ollie Olivier, 50, who is as buttoned-up as they come and does indeed wear a very tight necktie. He is hounded constantly by fellow ass. coach Sammie Salenz, 42, who takes great pride in bending rules inside out.

The identity for Monarques uses a primary color of Tyrian purple paired with black and white. The primary logo features a serif M with an inset simplified butterfly. The uniforms feature extended Northwestern striping and an upper chest stripe with unique rounded serif-cut numbers. Both sets are paired with black shells with side stripes. Perrault explained slowly that he really liked the color but he used big words and had so many long pauses between sentences that the crowd started booing, much to his shock and dismay.

Sensing a restless crowd, Emerson quickly wrapped it up and prepared to move on to the next team.

C&C always appreciated!

Re: Welcome to PUCH

Seventh Wonder of the World...err, PUCH. Probably.

Mr. Edward Earl Emerson was just getting ready to go back and bring out the next owner when a tall man suddenly burst forth from the curtain in a bundle of energy wearing a dazzling Armani suit and flashing a megawatt fake smile. He grabbed the podium mic from Emerson before he even had a chance to utter a word and introduced himself to the crowd.

Howler-Hawkins will be located in Chicago, Illinois and play their home games at Sears Place which seats 7,500. The club will also be sponsored by Sears. The club will be owned by Chicago businessman Olson Osborne who is something of a local celebrity as a big investor and the life of the party around town. Osborne has a big personality and likes to be the center of attention. He can often be seen in TV commercials peddling whatever new product might turn a buck. He isn't afraid of making big claims, big boasts, and even bigger promises. He seems to rarely keep any of them which somehow hasn't hurt his image as a larger than life character. He's brash and never short on confidence which can rub some business associates the wrong way but he's also a visionary and knows how to manage marketing.

Coaching for Howler-Hawkins will be Hank Hornsuckle, 52, who tries to be on the forefront of innovation, often forgetting about actual coaching along the way. He tries hard though and usually that's enough to curb his space cadet brain. Ass. coach Kirwin Kelso is a young 39 and could sell snow to an Eskimo. He played hockey but seems to have forgotten what it's like for the players. 50-year-old Bud Benson rounds out the staff, literally and figuratively. Big Bud is a large man and has a large sour personality that often overshadows the actual game.

The name of the new club stems from Osborne's shell company, originally a packing and manufacturing warehouse that was Osborne's first business purchase as a young man. The name originated from colloquial terminology around Chicago with “howler” and “hawk wind” or “hawkins” both being references to the Windy City. The identity goes for a red, gray, black, and white color scheme and features a winged howling gray wolf centered on a curved sash with the name on it. H-H's company athletic club was known as the Pinwheels, so Osborne had a secondary patch made that features a version of that old pinwheel logo which is placed on the shoulders. The uniforms feature red primary with triple stripes on the yokes, sleeves, hems, and socks.

Before Osborne could say more words, Emerson quickly shut down the microphone and shoved him back behind the curtain.

C&C appreciated!
