Is there a reason my "Indiana Express" was disqualified? (If it's the name of another team, I'm sorry)

Okay everyone! 

Here are the finals for Group D. This time tomorrow we will have our 24 franchises named. Then we will move on to the logo round.

Congratulations Everyone! 

We have made it the end of the Name The Team Round. We had more submissions than ever before. I have to say that this crop of names will be interesting to work with in the next couple of rounds.

That leaves us with our 24 AltBA teams! 

Now it is time for the Logo Round. Here are a few details to pay attention to. 

1.) The due date for GROUP A will be Sunday, January 24. 
2.) Submissions should be sent to althockeyleague2020@gmail.com
3.) I will compile all of the submissions into one graphic that I will post to the board and into a poll. We will vote and reveal the winning logos. 
4.) Obviously no copying or stealing art from other places. 
5.) If you are interested in collaborating with others please do so. It is good to help out the people who may not have a ton of design experience. 
6.) I'm streamlining the submission format. It will help me out a lot if everyone turns in their work the same way. Sometimes submissions are hard to manipulate on my end. Here is an example of what I am looking for. Super easy! 

The primary logo can be placed on top of the primary color - white and the secondary color. This is often how we use the logos anyway so it'll help that you know it looks good that way. Notice the color boxes are squares. If your logo doesn't fit nicely inside the square then I'd adjust it to do so. We don't want any logos to be too 'tall' or too 'wide'. Below I put the word mark and the logo without a color background at all (even though it looks grey here). Thank you so much for putting up with that direction.

For the wordmark... is it just one wordmark with the location/nickname? (Wondering because typically basketball uniforms include a city and a nickname on the home/away) Are we to look at the wordmark as its own logo so to speak, and will be divided up later for the uniforms?

Good question. For my submissions I am going to be making a 'BALTIMORE' and a 'LANCERS' word mark. We are going to vote on the logos as a group. So if your primary logo gets picked then so does the word mark. It'll make it easier for when we all start making the uniforms.
