Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

Retired Numbers

The International Falls Ice decided to retire both number 7 and 13 in honor of team legends John Backes and William Mason. Both men helped form International Falls Northland dynasty in the late 50s, winning 5 NLHL crowns and the only 2 Kellogg Cups in team history.

No Minneapolis Miller will ever don the number 4 ever again. The number has been unofficially retired since the two time Tschida Trophy winner (1966 &1967) retired, but it is now official. Kyle Ramsey was a dynamic winger who wore the black and orange for nearly 2 decades. Winning 7 TCHL titles, making 7 Super Series Appearances, and winning 2 Kellogg Cups in 67 and 68. Ramsey played from 1962 to 1975 before hanging up the skates for good.

Re: Minnesota Amateur Hockey League

I'll take a stab at guessing.

EMHL

Mahtomedi? - It doesn't seem big enough, but I don't know who else it would be.
Woodbury - Very confident in this one

HHL

Chanhassen? - Nothing stands out on the silhouette, but there's a narrow alphabetical range and it makes sense that they'd enter with this next team
Chaska - Fairly obvious
Orono? - Again, going off the alphabet and they could definitely afford a team if they wanted one

NMHL

Ramsey? - Not much else at this end of the alphabet in the area

NEHA

Arden Hills? - Surrounded by a few other teams in the league; Andover was my first inclination, but I think it fits better in the NMHL
Ham Lake/Lino Lakes - Either of these could work, but it seems weird to me that they would get in before Forest Lake
Spring Lake Park - The initials

SMHL

Mendtoa Heights - Not much else fits here alphabetically, and St Thomas probably wants a local team

If I had to rank by confidence

Chaska
Spring Lake Park
Woodbury
Mendota Heights
Ramsey
Orono
Chanhassen
Mahtomedi
Arden Hills
Ham Lake/Lino Lakes
