Billy McGorrie is my dude on account of his moustache. Love the logo and color scheme for the Flamingos. Great look.

I am happy that mustache holds value to someone. It took so long to do the damn thing, but I loved how it came out. Only thing worse was doing Moran's ugly flat top, curvy 50's hair.

On record, this Bugles Seagull looks more like Benny from New Vegas. I should really make him a character now that it is known by readers.... less known by the actual public in the story.

Re: West Coast Elite Hockey League

(Faint whispers into a phone are heard from the wise, knowledgeable hockey wizard from down the hall.)

     Stranger
“I don’t know Mom, he has been here for almost a week now, and hasn’t even talked to me in two days. When he does it is only about hockey. -- No, I’m not going to charge them rent. I --”

(You walk in, and are noticed instantly.)

     Stranger
“Now isn’t a very good time. -- It has to be now? You make absolutely no logical sense. -- You were just able to process Las Vegas and their story? Ok, maybe you make some sense. We can go over Buzz Buissen’s team, but you and I need to talk about some boundaries.”

SALT LAKE BEES

Buzz Buissen is a particular man that seems very smart, but this is only the case when it comes to books. Buissen is gullible, and this has led him to develop a very thick skull over time. He has a “don’t trust anyone" personality, and always seems on edge.

Growing up in Bloomington, Illinois, Buzz was always smart but had no direction. He scored high marks in school, and got along quite well, but always was left out or picked on due to his high trust put into people. Simple things, like his buddies telling him the sky was blue because it appears different to everyone depending on their eye color (he is still convinced this is true). This gullibility worked out for Buissen in the long run. When he was 19, some friends convinced him that a girl was fond of him when she had no clue who he was. He talked to her and now they are married. At 25, his friends convinced him that all guys named Buzz need to work in the honey industry, so he did. Right when his business was going to collapse, his friends sarcastically told him that Buissen’s problem was that he did not operate out of the “Worker Bee” state, so Buzz packed up and moved to Utah. This is when he found wild success, making his fortune with the “Buissen Bee Honey” brand. His most recent gullible experience was being told that hockey is Utah’s favorite past time, so he promptly invested in the WCEHL.

The Salt Lake Bees are named after Buissen’s own company for advertising purposes, but, like always, it worked out in his favor because the name managed to gain the love of every worker bee in Utah. The logo is from Buissen’s honey business, but it also happens to be the same hive seen on highway signs in the state. Black, athletic gold and white seemed like the only appropriate combo for a team called the Bees, so that is what was picked.

The jerseys… well I actually mean jersey. There is only one because Buissen claimed he was done being gullible, choosing to not listen when told that a second jersey was necessary because he thought it was a way the other owners were trying to make him mindlessly spend money, of all things. – What a time to get smart, right? – Anyways, that one jersey is pretty straight forward. An athletic gold base matched with thick black stripes and a little bit of white. On the chest is the hive, with each player's number located on the inside, like the highway signs in Utah.

There is not very much depth on the Salt Lake roster, but 33-year-old Smail Podrabsky is fun to watch. Smail is a hard-nosed defenseman who likes to fight. Being the smallest player in the league, Podrabsky does not win many scrums, but the fear he strikes into the eyes of the other team makes it so not many actually accept his challenge.

Don't mind me, I've been sequestered into a suite with a nice view and this weird red telephone that somehow makes post on this forum.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Always the goal to have people in 2020 question it while traditionalists defend it haha.

Re: West Coast Elite Hockey League

New day, new odd story to top the last. This time around we will go to San Diego. You know what that means in German, right? Boy, how far that place has come.

SAN DIEGO CANNERS
https://i.imgur.com/UpOfZxE.jpg

Timothy “Tin” Canton is our next owner on the list, and at this point I’d call him half normal compared to others we have covered. Only off thing about him is his extreme fear of everything on Dog’s green Earth, and the fact that he turns into a toddler when coming in contact with something he finds disgusting. Sometimes at his Tuna Canning facility you can hear Tin in the distance yelling, “NO! EWWY! YUCKY, BAD, BAD FISH”! This is usually followed by a fetal position and loud sobbing for the next hour, but he eventually pulls it together and acts like nothing happened.

Tin owns the most successful cannery in the city, which says a lot for San Diego. Some find it odd that he decided to go the tuna route considering his fear/disgust of the fish, but Tin says he likes to “take his fears head on”. That, and because it is the family business (you aren’t just called “Tin” with no reason”. Canton is the youngest owner of the league at 37, placing him below some guys still playing, but he is favorable among the owners. Speaking of taking fears head on, Tin plans to confront the unsettled feeling he gets around ice by owning his own hockey team.

https://i.imgur.com/Yaya5R2.jpg

The Canners name is inspired by Tin’s business and the city of San Diego, which could claim the title of “Tuna Capital of the World”, but why would they ever do that? The team’s logo is a simple script with a tuna can speeding under it like a hockey puck that was just shot. All the elements are only ever seen together on the primary logo, with scattered bits and pieces across the jerseys.

Speaking of the jerseys, The Canners elect to go with an odd combo of blue, yellow and tin as their colors. The main set has the Canners name placed diagonally down the chest while a tuna, that could be spotted on the can in the primary logo, fills space on the left shoulder. The socks take a wild turn, using yellow as the primary color, but still staying semi consistent with their jersey striping. The away jersey is the only one in the league that is not white. Canton advocated for his tin color, arguing that tin was the obvious replacement for white and not allowing it would be obstruction of his brand’s integrity. After all this fighting, he produced a completely tin uniform with no striping. No worries, the tuna is still on the arm.

This is another team lacking depth, only being supported by Miami native, Hal Tapping. The edge that is given to the Canners is that Hal is only 23, giving plenty of time for them to build a team around their future star.

Crazy SOB is what I am going for so that is a very nice compliment, haha! I'm happy you enjoy it. I'm not sure if I'm happy with this, but wanted to get something to you before the day was in full swing. I got Salt Lake done and hope to get more rolling soon. Tell me how this is.

Looks good to me. I might end up playing around with it a bit. Once I can, I'll add it to my Sig! Keep up the good work!
