I'll try to make the summaries more intensive, but I can only do so much. Also, just a small post to keep you in mind of where each league is. In the NFL Title list, the NFL considers the 1933 NFL title as the beginning, where as the PCFL list starts in 1960.

1978 NFL Season
The start of the NFL season began with a question to who would win the crown. In the Atlantic Division, the Washington Redskins dominated the division going 12-2, ahead of the second place Miami Dolphins, who finished 8-6. The Bay State Patriots went 6-8 and the Baltimore Colts went 0-14.
In the North Division, the Philadelphia Eagles tried to defend their NFL Title, and finished 9-5. Unfortunately for Eagles fans, the Pittsburgh Steelers would win the division with a 11-3 record, ahead of both the Cleveland Browns and Eagles who both went 9-5, with Cleveland finishing ahead of Philadelphia.
In the Eastern Conference Final, the Washington Redskins hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers on a cold Saturday morning. While the Redskins had a better record, the Steelers were used to the postseason and it showed. Going into the fourth quarter the Steelers led 21-7, and while the Redskins would score a touchdown, so would the Steelers, with the game ending 28-14.
In the Central Division, there was a three way race for the division title, between the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. The Lions would finish 8-6, while the Vikings and Bears both went 7-7. After Chicago, the Green Bay Packers would end the season at 5-9. As such, the Detroit Lions earned a trip to the Western Conference Final, where they would face the Houston Oilers in the Astrodome.
In the South Division, the Houston Oilers and Atlanta Falcons fought for the division title, with both teams being 8-5 going into the last regular season game. Facing against each other in the Astrodome, the Oilers embarrassed the Falcons 13-3 and gave the Oilers the right to defend their conference title. Following the Falcons and Oilers were the New Orleans Saints, who were 6-8 and the Dallas Texans at 3-11.
In the Western Conference Final, the Detroit Lions took the trip to Houston to play the Oilers. In a close matchup the Detroit Lions pulled ahead by eight points and won the game 27-19, giving the Lions their third NFL Title appearance of the 1970's.
In the NFL Title of 1978, the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Detroit Lions in a game that many expected to be boring. They would be correct, as the Steelers would go on to dominate the opposition only allowing 13 points to be scored against their defense. On offense they exploded, finishing the game with a 42-13 score.
1978 PCFL Season
In 1978, the Los Angeles Rams, who would finish 10-2 in first place, and clinching another appearance in the Pacific Bowl. In second, the Saint Louis Cardinals (without Coryell) would finish 8-4 and the third place Oakland Raiders would finish 6-6. Behind the Raiders, the Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks and San Diego Chargers all competed for the third playoff spot, posting 6-6, 5-7 and 5-7 respectively. In last place the San Francisco 49ers would post a 2-10 record.
In the PCFL Playoff, the Saint Louis Cardinals hosted the Oakland Raiders, in what some thought would be a close game. Though at home, the Raiders would defeat the Cardinals, 21-10, and would set the stage for the Pacific Bowl. In Los Angeles, the Rams fought a close match with the Raiders. Even though the Raiders fought hard to win, they would end up losing 27-21.
1979 NFL Season
In the Atlantic Division, the race for the division title was between two teams, the Miami Dolphins and the Bay State Patriots. Both would finish with 9 wins, but due to a tie game with the Houston Oilers (13-13) the Oilers finished 9-4-1, to Bay State's 9-5. Behind these two, were the Washington Redskins at 6-8 and the Baltimore Colts at 3-11, a small improvement over last years winless season.
In the North Division, the Pittsburgh Steelers returned to form, going 13-1, only losing to the Washington Redskins (19-11) in the regular season. In second the Cleveland Browns went 7-7, in third the New York Giants went 6-8 and in last, the Philadelphia Eagles went 5-9.
Setting up the Eastern Conference Final, the Pittsburgh Steelers would host the Miami Dolphins, in a match that Pittsburgh was expected to win. Things would not be so serendipitous however, and the Dolphins would defeat the Steelers, 21-9.
In the Central Division, the Chicago Bears won a tight race with the Detroit Lions, finishing with a 9-5 record. Below them and the 8-6 Lions, were the 6-8 Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings at 5-9.
In the South Division, the New Orleans Saints had a miracle season, recording a 10-4 record, their best ever, as they had never had a winning season. Far behind were the 6-7-1 Houston Oilers, and behind them a 5-9 Atlanta side and even worse Dallas Texans with 4-10. In the 1979 Western Conference Final, the New Orleans Saints hosted the Chicago Bears, and though there was high spirits in the Saints fanbase, they would be defeated by the Bears 38-14.
In the 1979 NFL Title, the Miami Dolphins hosted their second NFL Title, with a sell out crowd facing a torrential rain storm, that had started early in the day, and gotten worse as the game went on. As a result, both offenses would be stalled, with the game being dubbed the Mud Bowl, for the slippery brown mud that covered the field for the entire game. The Dolphins would score an early touchdown, the only touchdown of the affair, where as all the Chicago Bears could manage was a field goal. With time winding down in the fourth quarter, the Dolphins went ahead 10-7, and so the game would end.
1979 PCFL Season
The PCFL season started with the Los Angeles Rams, who had made an appearance in the last five Pacific Bowl's, underperforming. While they would make the postseason, it would be as the third seed, with a 7-5 record. Finishing ahead were the 8-4 Denver Broncos, and the first place San Diego Chargers at 10-2. The Seattle Seahawks continued their early struggles, while the Oakland Raiders and the Saint Louis Cardinals would finish in 6th and 7th respectively.
In the 1979 PCFL Playoff, the Denver Broncos took to the field in a race to win their first title, were out of sorts, and were defeated by the Los Angeles Rams 17-7. Going to their sixth title in as many seasons, the Rams could have been expected to win easily, but the resurgent Chargers, under the helm of Don Coryell, had a high powered offense, and had as many regular season games as his 1974 Saint Louis Cardinals team, who had been perfect. The Chargers would be hampered by a top notch Rams defense, and though the Chargers would win 17-13, neither side scored much.
1980 NFL Season
In the Atlantic Division, there was a three way race for first place, with the Baltimore Colts, Washington Redskins and Bay State Patriots all battling through the last weeks of play. The Colts would finish 8-6, the Redskins 7-7 and the Patriots 6-8. In last place in the division, were the 3-11 Miami Dolphins, who would not be able to defend their NFL Title.
In the North Division, the Pittsburgh Steelers fought hard to repeat their division title, but would come up short by one game to the Philadelphia Eagles, who finished 12-2 to Pittsburgh's 11-3. Coming behind them were the 8-6 Cleveland Browns and the last place New York Giants at 1-13, the second worse team in the NFL.
In the Eastern Conference Final, the Eagles were favorites to win, and they would not disappoint. Though tied 7-7 early in the game, the Eagles would pull away finishing the game 28-7.
In the Central Division, the Detroit Lions dominated play in the regular season, finishing 12-2, well ahead of the 7-7 Minnesota Vikings, 6-8 Chicago Bears and the 5-9 Green Bay Packers.
In the South Division, the Atlanta Falcons, who had won several division titles in the 1970's, would face a close race for the division title. The Atlanta Falcons would finish 10-4, ahead of the 9-5 Houston Oilers and Dallas Texans . In last place were the defending division champion New Orleans Saints, who would go from 10-4 to 0-14.
In the Western Conference Final, the Atlanta Falcons would face a tough match, but would eventually pull away, beating the Detroit Lions, 27-13. In the 1980 NFL Title, the Atlanta Falcons traveled to chilly Philadelphia to attempt to win their first title since 1970. Early on the score was 14-13, but the Eagles would pull ahead finishing the game 27-13.
1980 PCFL Season
Going into the 1980 PCFL season, the San Diego Chargers were looking to defend their league title, while the Los Angeles Rams were looking to appear in their seventh straight title appearance. In the end, the Chargers would finish 10-2 in first place, ahead of the 7-5 Los Angeles Rams (who had recently moved to Anaheim) and the 7-5 Denver Broncos. Finishing several game back were the fourth place, 6-6 Seattle Seahawks, the 5-7 San Francisco 49ers and the 4-8 Oakland Raiders and Saint Louis Cardinals. In the PCFL Playoff, the Los Angeles Rams dominated the Denver Broncos, winning the game 34-13. Coming off this game, the Chargers were favorites to win the Pacific Bowl, but faced a tough Rams squad. In the title, the Rams would barely win, defeating the Chargers 27-23.

Just some tips. Just go one season at a time man. Post the season write up, standings, the schedules and postseason all together. Pace the seasons too, so don't upload 3 seasons a day or more, post one every couple days or so, so people have time to intake what your doing. If you have extra time on your hand and are backed up on posts, make your write ups longer if you want.

Just posting the 1981 season summary
1981 NFL Season
Eastern Conference
The Atlantic Divison of 1981 was a close call between the Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins, while the Bay State Patriots and Baltimore Colts had terrible seasons. In first place, the Redskins with a 8-6 record, while the Dolphins finished 7-7. As stated before, the Colts and Patriots both had terrible seasons, and the race for the title was won by the Redskins, who would go on to Philadelphia to compete for an Eastern Conference Finals.
The North Division on the other hand, was filled with good teams. The Philadelphia Eagles would only lose one game in the entire regular season, and as such finished in first with a 13-1 record, with a good chance of defending their bout as NFL champions. With a 10-4 record, the Pittsburgh Steelers finished in second, but had to fight with the New York Giants for second place. The Giants, the only team to beat the Eagles in the regular season (17-7), finished 9-5, and in third place, even though they had. a better record than the postseason Washington Redskins.
In the 1981 Eastern Conference Final, the Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Washington Redskins, playing the team for the second time in 1981. In the first game, a week 12 win for the Eagles (22-17), the outcome was closer than expected. In the rematch, the Redskins defense held the Eagles to 12 points, all field goals, while the Redskins scored 16 points, a touchdown and three field goals. With this the Washington Redskins were NFL Title bound.
Western Conference
The Central Division, while close, was a mediocre affair. The Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions, who were in first and second place, both finished 7-7. Shortly behind them were the Green Bay Packers at 6-8, and the last place Chicago Bears with 3 wins total. The Vikings, though division champions, were the worst team to make the playoffs in 1981, as far as regular season record goes.
In the South Division, the Atlanta Falcons won the right to potentially defend their Western Conference Title, with a 12-2 record. Right behind them were the Dallas Texans, with an 11-3 record, infuriating the fanbase who were eager for eighth NFL Title. With such a close divisional race, the last two spots in the division weren't ever in any doubt. In third place, the New Orleans Saints posted a 6-8 record, while the Houston Oilers finished 1-13, the worst record in the NFL.
In the Western Conference Final, the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings continued their tough playoff rivalry in the fourth such meeting. The game was close throughout, with the Vikings taking an early lead. However, the score would be very close throughout, with the Atlanta Falcons, the better team on paper, winning the game by a touchdown, 23-16.
1981 NFL Title
In the 1981 NFL Title, the Atlanta Falcons hosted the Washington Redskins. Originally the Falcons were expected to win handily, but the fans in the stands were treated to one of the best in NFL history. The final score, 30-27, shows the tit for tat involved between the two teams. The quarterbacks, Steve Bartkowski for Atlanta and Joe Theismann for Washington ended up with multiple touchdowns, before the Atlanta Falcons kicked a field goal to win the game.
1981 PCFL Season
The 1981 PCFL season was marked by the return to the Pacific Bowl by the San Francisco 49ers, who finished 11-1, only losing (in the regular season) a week four matchup with the Oakland Raiders. The San Diego Chargers, who finished in second, went 9-3, just ahead of the third place Oakland Raiders (last season in Oakland until 1995) at 8-4. In the remaining spots was a close race with the Los Angeles Rams in fourth, the Saint Louis Cardinals in fifth, the Denver Broncos in sixth and the Seattle Seahawks in last place with a record of 2-10.
The postseason kicked off with the San Diego Chargers hosting the Oakland Raiders in the PCFL Playoff. The game would end up 23-13, with the Chargers appearing in their third straight Pacific Bowl. Going into the title in San Francisco, many held that the Chargers wouldn't have an easy game, but they would be proven wrong. With Joe Montana throwing three interceptions, to one touchdown, the San Diego Chargers won their fifth PCFL title, and beat the 49ers, 30-7.

1982 NFL Season
Eastern Conference
In the Atlantic Division, the Washington Redskins, coming off a NFL title appearance, dominated the division, finishing 11-3. In second place the Bay State Patriots, barely beat out the Miami Dolphins, at 8-6 to 7-7. In last place were the Baltimore Colts, who were looking for a new stadium, but with a 1-13 record it seemed unlikely they would find support. The Redskins, with Joe Theismann leading a top 3 offense in the regular season. With the end of the season the Redskins were set to take to the road, and play the Eastern Conference Final in Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands.
In the North Division, the surprise of the year were the New York Giants. With Scott Brunner at the head of the offense, the Giants would fight their way to their first division title. At 11-3, they would host the Eastern Conference Final. Behind them in second were the Pittsburgh Steelers, at 9-5, and the Philadelphia Eagles with a winning record in third at 8-6. Wallowing in a puddle of their own misery were the 3-10-1 Cleveland Browns, who tied with the Atlanta Falcons in the regular season in Atlanta (10-10). With their first division title, the Giants prepared to play in their first Eastern Conference Final in franchise history.
The day of the Eastern Conference Final was a wet one. Giants Stadium was packed to the gills with fans and reporters, and they seemed to not notice the increasing down pour. The Redskins and Giants were both forced to resort to run plays, as the ball seemed to always be slipping out the grasp of the receivers. By the start of the fourth quarter, the score was tied at 17-17. The Redskins, with three minutes left gained possession off a fumble and seemed poised to score. With 32 seconds left, the Redskins were just outside the red zone and were prepping their kicker for a game winning field goal. For some reason, the head coach Joe Gibbs, made the call for a pass. In the rain the ball was deflected and returned it for a touchdown. The pick six was matched by a blocked kick by the Redskins to leave the score 23-17. The Giants victory was felt around the region, and there was an impromptu celebration in across New York City with the news that the Giants would be back in an NFL Title for the first time since 1963.
Western Conference
In the Central Division, there was a three way race for division champion, which was won by the Detroit Lions with a 10-4 record. Just behind them in second were the Green Bay Packers at 9-5 and the Chicago Bears in third at 8-6. With such a close divisional race, the last place 4-10 Minnesota Vikings were never truly in the running, and the Detroit Lions would host the Western Conference Final.
In the South Division, the Atlanta Falcons, at 7-6-1, won the division title and the right to defend their NFL title. Right behind them at 7-7 were the Dallas Texans, who yet again missed the playoffs by a hair. Behind them at 5-9 were the New Orleans Saints, and in last place, the Houston Oilers at 3-11. With the divisional race so close, many would have assumed the Falcons would be defeated in the playoff, as the game was being held in Detroit.
In the Western Conference Final, the Detroit Lions hosted the defending champion Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons had squeaked past Dallas to make the Western Conference Final, and as it was held in the Pontiac Silverdome, there was no question of weather influencing the games outcome. The game would go one to be highly forgettable, with the Atlanta Falcons leading 7-6 at half time. By the two minute warning, the Lions were in the lead 9-7. However, the Falcons would go on to kick a field goal, to win the game 10-9.
1982 NFL Title
The 1982 NFL Title was held in Giants Stadium, with the New York Giants hosting the defending champion Atlanta Falcons. The Giants had not hosted an NFL Title since 1958, and that was held in Yankee Stadium. The day was nice and dry, but also cold. The Giants started off the scoring by sacking Gary Danielson in the end zone for a safety, thus taking the lead 2-0. As the game continued it became clear the Giants offense was stunted by the Falcons defense, and were only able to score one touchdown all game. The Falcons however scored two touchdowns, and won the game 23-15.
1982 PCFL Season
In 1980, the Los Angeles Rams had left the cavernous Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for Anaheim Stadium, in hopes of having no television blackouts during broadcasts. Once this became clear, Al Davis, the owner of the Oakland Raiders, expressed interests in relocating his team to Los Angeles, where the Raiders would occupy the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as the Los Angeles Raiders. At first the Rams attempted to stop this, but they eventually assented and allowed for the Los Angeles Raiders to begin play in the 1982 season.
In first and second place, were the 9-3 San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Raiders. The Chargers, who were a powerhouse in the league, split the regular season series 1-1, but scored more on aggregate, to host the Pacific Bowl. In third place, the San Francisco 49ers, who had been humiliated in the previous Pacific Bowl, only finished 7-5, but in the playoff. In fourth, were the Denver Broncos at 6-6, who barely missed a playoff appearance. And in the last three spots, were the Los Angeles Rams (4-8), the Saint Louis Cardinals (4-8) and the last place Seattle Seahawks (3-9).
In the 1982 PCFL Playoff, the Los Angeles Raiders hosted a sell out crowd, to play the San Francisco 49ers. Early on it seemed as if the 49ers would win the game handily, winning 9-0 at half time. The comeback by the Raiders allowed them to make their first Pacific Bowl since 1978. The game finished 13-9, and set the stage for the title game. In San Diego, on a beautiful sunny day, the stands were packed with both Raiders and Chargers fans. The game would be a shootout, with the teams trading touchdowns all game. Eventually though the Los Angeles Raiders would win out and win the Pacific Bowl, 34-21.
