WOW!  I don't think anybody ever pulled off a perfect season even in MAHL 1.0...but even so, Eveleth is still setting the pace for greatness as in that last one.

Already eagerly anticipating what's next as the clubs and leagues start to come together...

Chicago Cougars all the way!  I really hope they can find a way to thrive, especially in case the Blackhawks can't seem to get over that playoff hump.

I hear a new minor league hockey team just started up in my hometown, but I don't think they're gonna last long (Who names a team after a refrigerator, anyway?)

*Side note before we start. Screw the MLHH lol. Not quite sure how the physics of that would work. Also, there is an actual game kinda like this called SlamBall, but this will start before that league.
=16.25pxOne gloomy day in 1989, an employee of the Atlanta Hawks had an idea. Basketball on trampolines. He got a meeting with Ted Turner to pitch his idea and he loved it. And so, the NTL was born.

Love the concept...not crazy about the name.  Too easy to make jokes about "It used to be called JumpBall until your mom started playing."

Oooo...you gotta love it when the "e" word is dropped.

Any plans for an "expansion committee" where folks can create characters and do a ranked-choice vote on their top expansion choices?  (Be it for ECHO's expansion or the possible OEHL future expansion?)

Here's hoping Saint John can get their ducks in a row, and also that the Reds can avoid the Admirals' fate.

Boston Banshees (another name that ties into the city's strong Irish heritage)
Minnesota Miracles (name invokes the numerous natural wonders to be found in the state)
Montreal Olympiennes (honors the '76 Montreal Olympics and all the Canadian Olympic hockey players)

New York Colossus (honors Lady Liberty and the poem on her base, "The New Colossus")
Ottawa Geckos (honoring the lizards found in Little Ray's Nature Center...Gecko is spelled the same in English and French-a must for any Ottawa team)
Toronto Towers (an oft-proposed name for Toronto teams, this city enjoys its stature as the first Canadian city to embrace the modern era of women's pro hockey)

St. John might just be the first team to be folded in the ECHO, and they end it with a sad note.

What a shame...I created Noah Boyd partly because I was hoping he'd be the savior of the franchise.

Oh well, somebody's bound to bring ECHO back to the Port City one day, and maybe "The Flamepoint" can finish his career with that new team.

I LOVE seeing first-time playoff teams...excited to see what the Polars, Spiders & Rams do in their runs.

What's more, it's really neat to see Alexandria FINALLY win a division title after almost 40 years...this is why I've missed this league.
