So many good sets coming and going! Expected for the time, but still disappointing to see teams like Zenith and White Bear Lake abandon the thin horizontal stripes. Como's new jerseys make up for what was lost, though!

One of the hardest things for me is getting rid of logos or jerseys that I really like in order to keep things more accurate lol. I'm glad you like Como's new jerseys, I was really happy with how they turned out!

Not sure where you saw White Bear lose their stripes though, their uniforms are still the same as the ones they adopted two years ago.

I hope to see Kittson County bring back the interlock in the future.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the KC interlock will come back at some point down the line.  I also really liked how that KC monogram turned out, but I figured it was time for something new for them since they had used the same thing for the past decade.

Outside of hockey, the University of Minnesota was named 1904 National Co-Champions (along with Michigan & Penn) for football, finishing the season with a perfect 13-0 record.

Arrowhead Hockey Association
After failing to win the league for the first time in five years just a year ago, the Eveleth Hockey Club took it upon themselves to go even harder, practice even more, and show no mercy. The results were evident as the Reds ran away with the league to win their 5th Miners Memorial Cup, falling one game short of their second perfect season. Duluth, Two Harbors, & Ely made up the top tier of the league (aside from Eveleth who was in a league of their own), being the only other teams to finish with winning records. Virginia got to 10 wins on the season, none more important than their home game against Eveleth. Not only was this the only loss of the year for the Reds, but it was the first time that Virginia/Queen City has ever beaten their neighbors from 7 miles to the south, bringing the all-time series to 12-1-1 in favor of Eveleth. Superior, Grand Rapids, Chisholm, Soudan Mine, Zenith Athletic, & Cloquet were about equal and all finished within three wins of each other. The punching bag of the league this year was Hibbing who went from 10 wins last year to just 3 in 1904/05.

Central Minnesota Hockey League
The CMHL was up for grabs with four teams vying for that top spot all season long. When the dust settled it was the Brainerd Hockey Club at the top of the table, just one tie ahead of St. Cloud to prevent the three-peat. The Bemidji squad was made up of all but 2 new members from the team a year ago and this new batch of players immediately turned things around for the once champs, tripling their win total from a year ago to finish third. The final team that was in the hunt was Park Rapids who finished with their third consecutive winning season despite missing the podium at season's end. Little Falls was the only other team to finish with a winning record, but they never got higher than 4th in the standings at any point in the season so they weren’t really a contender. Fergus Falls and Aitkin each finished at .500 though Fergus did get an extra win to place them 6th with Aitkin settling for 7th. Sauk Rapids and Wadena were both decent hockey teams but wound up losing more often than not. Blackduck and Pelican Rapids both suffered stepbacks in their third seasons, having solid hockey teams that underperformed. One of the biggest stories in the CMHL this year was the sudden and surprising decline of the Detroit Hockey Club who went from a 3rd place finish to 12th in the span of one year. Finally we have Alexandria who continues to show signs of regression with their 12 win team from just a couple years ago feeling so far away as they only mustered a measly 5 wins for the year.

Red River Hockey League
Much like last year, it was a dog fight for the title between Thief River Falls and Red Lake Falls but this time the result was flipped. TRF managed to edge out their rivals to the south by just 2 points to claim their league best 4th Red River Cup. It wasn’t just those two though with Moorhead coming out of nowhere to finish just one win behind Red Lake Falls in third after a last place finish a year ago. The turnaround was orchestrated by a young phenom who led the league in goals in his rookie season. Warren, Pembina County, & Fargo round out the top half of the table and were the only other squads with winning records, each boasting very solid hockey teams. East Grand Forks, Grand Forks, Crookston, & Kittson County all floated right around .500 with Grand Forks actually finishing ahead of Crookston despite having a losing record thanks to ties. Down at the bottom of the ladder we have the expansion clubs from Ada and Grafton who had just 3 combined wins against the rest of the RRHL in their inaugural seasons’.

Minneapolis Hockey League
Make that 5 straight Washburn Cups for the mighty Mill City Hockey Club as they repeat as MHL champions, adding to their winning tradition with their 7th title in team history. Powderhorn, Anoka, & Minneapolis were each talented hockey teams as well, finishing with winning records and keeping up with arguably the best hockey team in the country despite being unable to dethrone them. The Lake Shore Hockey Club was a coin flip, winning one game then dropping the next on their way to a .500 season. West Minneapolis had a repeat of last season, though they did manage to improve on their record by two ties. In last place we had Richfield, going from 13 wins to just 3 in the span of one year. The drastic decline can be attributed to the loss of both former Mill City players who helped found the team and carried them in their inaugural season. One player was lost to injury while the other moved down to Rochester, leaving the team without both of their stars for nearly the entire season.

St. Paul Hockey Association
For the first time ever, the South St. Paul Hockey Club are champions, claiming the Capital Cup with an 18 win season. It was a wild year in the SPHA with nobody able to run away with it. The Phoenix Athletic Club came closer than they’ve ever been, finishing one win behind SSP in second. White Bear Lake, East Side, & the St. Paul Athletic Club made up the rest of the top tier clubs. Even though they still had a winning record, this season was seen as a failure for the St. Paul Athletic Club who came into this year as heavy favorites to win it all, forced to instead settle for fifth. The SPHA had incredible parity this year with the worst team in the league still getting 9 wins on the year. Como, West St. Paul, Hudson, Stillwater, & Rose made up the teams with losing records, but none have anything to hang their heads about.

And that concludes the 1904/05 season. Let me know what you think, comments are always appreciated!

I forgot White Bear moved to the thin horizontal striping, not away. Might be the best looking team in the league. Alexandria also drives a hard bargain.
