That win over the Colts officially clinches the NL's top seed for the Las Vegas Atoms. We do still have one thing to play for, which is home-field advantage in the World Series, but for the most part, Atoms fans can relax and watch the chaos unfold in the rest of the league. The Atoms will still be a part of that chaos, as we travel to Memphis this week, where the Kings are currently #02 in the standings, and with three teams within just a game of them, they'll likely need a win to maintain that. In their way is SP David Peterson, who picked up the win across two quality starts this week, hurling 14 1/3 with 10 strikeouts and just 03 earned runs. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

With a big bounceback win over the Condors, the Bison move to 16-4 on the season and one step closer to making the A.L. playoffs come through Cox Ballpark. To ensure that, we need to keep winning, and we face the red hot Minnesota Gemini this week. We're going to be in the alternate browns for this one, and are featuring pitcher Bowden Francis, who against the Condors went 8 innings, striking out 12 and limiting things to only one earned run as he notched a quality start and a win. #WeAreOK

A rebound win against fellow avian team Oakland keeps us a game behind Oklahoma City for the top spot in the AL. We're at the home stretch of the season, both figuratively and literally, as our last two games of the regular season at Gila River Field. The penultimate week of the year will be against the non-avian Boston Masons, who are out of the playoffs and are just here to ruin our party. This week is Legends week, so we'll be welcoming back Thunderbirds of the past as we wear our throwbacks for one night only. Featured for this week is SP Robbie Ray, who has been solid after spending most of the season recovering from injury. This past week, he pitched 9.2 innings across two starts for 13 strikeouts, a quality start, and a win while allowing just two runs. #Thunderstruck

In an unfortunate bout of déjà vu, the Atoms trailed late against Memphis, stormed back to take the lead, only to once again fall short at the end of the game. We'll look to end the season on a better note, though we'll once again face an opponent who is still fighting for a playoff spot. The New York Blackbirds are hanging onto their chance at a postseason berth by the skin of their teeth, having just knocked off Oakland to stay alive, so they'll be coming into this game hungry. For our final feature of the season, we'll turn to SP/RP Porter Hodge, who hurled 03 1/3 innings, struck out 06, and somehow earned both a win and a save despite the Atoms loss. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

Well, that went poorly. We lost to the Gemini, dropping us into a tie with the Thunderbirds for the top spot in the AL. We have the points advantage, so a win without Arizona winning and outscoring us by 441.67 points will give us the AL's top spot in the playoffs. So we need to take care of our own, and beat down the visiting Cubans, who we only beat by 9.33 in game 7. We'll close out the regular season in our cream uniforms, and are featuring current starting third baseman, Isaac Paredes. #WeAreOK

A back-and-forth affair between us and the Masons ended when we finally pulled ahead from them to get the win. Added to that is both the Bison and Atoms losing last week, meaning we could be both the top seed in the AL and the best team in the majors if everything goes our way. We'll welcome the Pros to the Valley for the last game of the regular season as we'll attempt to finish the regular season on a high note. Featured for this week is SP Spencer Arrighetti, who threw 7.2 no-hit innings with 11 strikeouts, earning a quality start and a win. #Thunderstruck

It's playoff time, baby! The Atoms had to wait until the bitter end to find out whom they'd welcome to the Strip for the NLDS, but we now know it's the Oakland Squirrels, who are stumbling into the playoffs on a 03-game losing streak, including one against the last-place Griffins. We can't let that bring our guard down, as anything can happen once the postseason comes around. As is tradition, we're highlighting our top regular season players during the playoffs, and the best of the best has been SS Willy Adames, who knocked 30 home runs, 0101 RBI, and he also stole 18 bases. And, as a bonus fun fact, he averaged exactly 01 fantasy point per at bat. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

With that, the regular season comes to a close, and the Bison claimed the top spot in the AL and home field throughout the playoffs thanks to the three way tiebreaker with the Atoms and the Thunderbirds. But the Atoms and Thunderbirds are potential future problems. This week, we host the Los Angeles Condors. We swept the season series with them, but that doesn't mean this will be an easy matchup. We'll wear the standard cream home uniforms for this one, and are featuring top player for last week AND the season, outfielder/designated hitter Kyle Schwarber, who has an incredible week with 4 singles, 3 doubles, 5 home runs, and 11 RBIs, crossing the plate for 9 runs himself. Oh, and 3 walks, just for some bonus on base experiences. #WeAreOK

Gila River Park will host at least one more home game, as the Thunderbirds open the playoffs against the always-threatening Minnesota Gemini. They're riding into the playoffs on an 8-game winning streak (where we were their last loss), so it will not be easy like our tuneup win against the Pros. We will not wear anything fancy, just wearing the standard home uniforms to begin our push to the championship. Our best player in the regular season was SS Elly de la Cruz, who slashed .261/.342/.475 for 23 HR's, 65 RBI's and a league-leading 62 stolen bases during the regular season. #Thunderstruck

What a game. After falling behind early against Oakland, the Atoms chipped away, and came up big on Sunday to complete the comeback and advance to the NLCS. Now, we'll face an even tougher test, as we welcome the Memphis Kings to Sin City. Memphis swept the season series against us, but there's only one game that matters now. We are (of course) sticking with the black tops and white pants, and our second postseason feature goes to SP Tarik Skubal, who was arguably the best pitcher in baseball this year, going 16-04 with 20 quality starts, 0208 strikeouts, and a 02.53 ERA. The other best pitcher in baseball, naturally, was the Kings' Chris Sale, so expect some stellar play on the mound in this one. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom
