The Thunderbirds stay hot coming out of the All-Star Break, easily handing Havana another defeat and extending our win streak to 8. We return home to take on the Turtles, and we're eager for a rematch after they beat us in the first week of the year. We've gone on different trajectories, as Tampa has plummeted to the bottom of the AL while we're fighting for the top spot in the AL. Our featured player for this week is RP Cade Smith, who pitched 6.1 innings in relief as a setup man for 10 strikeouts, 2 holds, and a win all without allowing a single run. #Thunderstruck

Another week, another win, but still not able to pull away from the Thunderbirds. On the bright side, the Bison are the first team in the league to clinch a playoff berth! But there's still 4 weeks left, and we'd like to lock up the top seed in the American League still, so we'll keep pushing hard. Next we welcome the Turtles to Cox Ballpark, and we'll be in the standard creams for this one. Our featured player is second baseman Luis Garcia, who filled the stat sheet against the Deacons going 10-for-19, with 5 runs, 7 singles, 1 double, 2 home runs, 3 RBIs, and tacked on a walk and 2 stolen bases for good measure. #WeAreOK

The Turtles gave us a brief scare to start the week, but we were able to pull away and secure our 9th straight win. We'll now hit the road to what may potentially be the game of the year as we go to Sin City to play the Atoms. They're on a fairly lengthy win streak as well at 7 games, so they'll be no easy task to take down. Featured for this week is 1B Michael Busch, who took over the starting spot from our everyday 1B Freddie Freeman due to the latter's family emergency, and hit for 3 HR's, 5 RBI's and was walked twice in the interim. #Thunderstruck

A big win over the Turtles nets us our 15th win of the season. But with the Thunderbirds also winning, we're still only a game up on them for the AL race for home field advantage. The road is not getting any easier however, as we're heading up to Memphis to take on the Kings. The Kings are in the thick of the NL playoff hunt (though EVERYONE except Carolina is in that hunt) and are looking to get themselves into a stronger spot in that hunt. We'll be in the standard road grays in this one. Our featured player is rookie Shortstop/Outfielder Jackson Merrill. Jackson has been on an absolute tear of later, posting a cycle in the matchup against the Turtles with 4 singles, 1 double, 1 triple, and 4 home runs, totaling 8 RBI and 9 runs, and tacked on 3 walks and 2 stolen bases for funsies. #WeAreOK

After a solid win over the Condors, the Atoms remain home for a matchup with yet another bird team: the Arizona Thunderbirds. The T-Birds are coming in with a 09-game winning streak and are hungry to catch up to the Bison in the AL, so this should be a much tougher game than last week. Featured this week is 3B Eugenio Suárez, who has really heated up after struggling to start the year. Suárez went 09/24 with 09 runs and 05 RBI, with all 03 of his home runs coming in a stellar performance on Tuesday. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

After an unfortunate loss to the Thunderbirds, the Atoms hit the road for a matchup with yet another bird team (sort of): the Carolina Griffins. The Griffs are coming in with a 13-game losing streak and are hungry to avoid the basement of the NL, so this should be a much easier game than last week. Featured this week is 2B/SS Xavier Edwards, who has really heated up after joining the team last month. Edwards went 08/30 with 04 runs and 03 BB, with 02 of his 05 steals coming in a stellar performance on Saturday. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

A very fortunate win against the Atoms still puts us a game back on the Bison. No matter though, as we clinched a playoff spot in the process. We'll look to extend the winning streak back at home against of this year's surprise teams in the Kansas City Colts. The Colts would want a win against us to stay alive in the hotly-contested NL, so once again nothing comes easy in this league. Featured for this week is former #1 overall prospect James Wood, who assisted the offense last week by going 4/16 with a triple, a home run, 3 RBI's, 5 walks, and 3 stolen bases in the few starts he played in last week. #Thunderstruck.

Now that's how you bounce back from a loss. The Atoms looked like worldbeaters against the Griffins (with the caveat that, well, we were playing the Griffins) and posted the highest score of any team this week by a large margin. We also (finally!) clinched a playoff spot in the process, being 3.5 games up on 05th-place San Diego, and with Arizona and OKC both losing this week, we're once again occupying the top spot in the entire AltLB. This week, we play the current 04 seed, the Kansas City Colts, who definitely need this win to keep pace in a wild playoff chase in the NL. Speaking of wins, we got a couple this week out of Clayton Kershaw, who made his Atoms debut just a couple weeks ago and is looking like he's hardly even missed a step, throwing 11 2/3 innings while striking out 08 and allowing just one earned run. #03dTimesTheCharm #UpAndAtom

Well, the bats went quiet (not THE Bats, they aren't playing anymore), and we got shut down by the Kings. No time to dwell on that one, as we head from Memphis out to Los Angeles for our second match with the Condors. We're hoping to get healthier again, as one of our top pitchers once again hit the IL. We're going to get into the standard road khakis for this one, and we're featuring pitcher Hunter Brown, who has been one of our best pitchers over the last couple weeks, and fired off 7 innings of one run ball, striking out 6 players, and notching a quality start and win for is in the loss. #WeAreOK

It was a valiant effort, but the Colts finally ended our winning streak with a very close fought game between the both of us. Thankfully, the Bison also lost so the gap between us two is still a game. We'll have little time to recuperate from our loss, as we'll hit the road north towards another fellow bird team in the Oakland Squirrels. They're fighting for a spot in the postseason in the NL, so it will once again not come easy for us. Our first repeat feature is OF Ian Happ, who hit for 3 HR's, 4 RBI's, 5 walks, a double, and a stolen base as our most productive hitter last week. #Thunderstruck
