The Emeralds have broken the pattern! Going into week 7, the Ems had not won on an odd numbered week or lost on an even numbered week, but we came out of week 7 with a win over the Flyers! We look to keep the streak alive on even numbered weeks however, as we host the Kansas City Marshals. They don't look like the team they were last year (but really, none of us in the league do), but we're not going to take them lightly. We're breaking out the 57 Facet alternate jerseys this week, shown off by last week's top scorer, center Deandre Ayton!

It may have looked a little shaky there at the beginning, but the Invaders responded with a strong second half to keep the Cardinals winless and stay atop the Central Division. Speaking of which, with week 8 about to start, we're almost halfway through the campaign. On a completely unrelated note, G Cam Payne recorded 38 points and 31 assists last week, leading the team in the latter category. He'll hope to keep that momentum up against our former division rivals in LA, who very nearly broke the Invaders' points record this week, so the 'Lymps will certainly be a tough test. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #LAvsABQ

The AltBA is fascinating, as it feels like any of the top fourteen teams can beat any other on any given week. Parity in basketball? I guess. Still, there is some stratification, like Seattle, ABQ, and LA rising to the top.

It wasn't easy, but the Invaders held off an Olympians comeback to stretch our winning streak to five games. Even better, Minnesota lost, giving us a little bit of breathing room atop the Central. Next up for the Querq is a true battle of the supernatural as we head to Louisville. We'll hope to get another Spirited performance from F/C Isaiah Stewart, who's been capturing rebounds like a proton pack. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #ABQvsLOU

Taking a rough loss to the Marshals, the Emeralds sit at .500 and look to get back into the win column. This week we host the Boston team, as the Schooners come to The Dick. We are wearing our normal home Stratus sets, shown by star center and last week's top scorer, Deandre Ayton!

Coming off a win over Boston to move us back over .500, we stay in Seattle to face the Kahunas. We know that it'll be hard to focus on the Emeralds facing the lowly Kahunas with the Steelheads hosting an AltFL Semifinal game across the street at Starbucks Coliseum, so we're going to offer a 33% discount, in reference to how many points the Steelheads beat the Nightriders by, on all concessions and in the pro shop during the Steelheads Semifinal game here at The Dick! We'll also have the "big screen" on a split screen so you can keep track of the Steelheads game while watching the Emeralds beat up on the Kahunas. We're wearing our standard Stratus set, since it's closest to the steel of the Steelheads, this week, shown by last week's top scorer, Donovan Mitchell!

Having taken down the Spirits, we hit the middle leg of our three-game road swing as we visit the Twin Cities for a date with the Giants. Notably, this will be the first time that LeBron James has ever played against the Invaders after spending nine years in the Querq. With Minnesota hanging just one game back in the division, this will be all the more important as we officially hit the back half of the regular season. The Emeralds hosted a game against the Kahunas last week. They had their highest score of the week last week, though it still wasn't enough to hang with the gems. We're going to be heading out on the road again this week as we face the Olympians. The Emeralds are looking to claw their way back into at least a share of the division lead, and a bit of revenge on the Olympians will help with that. This week we'll be wearing the 57 Facets jerseys, shown off by top scorer Trae Young!

The Invaders keep rolling, and with the Caribou dropping a second straight, the Querq Boys now hold sole possession of the top spot in the AltBA. We've taken down The Brown and the Giants, and we finish out our three-game venture in my hometown(-ish) of Boston. The Schooners are locked in a battle for the North Division, while ABQ has CDKS just one game behind in the Central, so both teams will be coming into this game hot. G/F Devin Vassell certainly is, coming off a 50-point triple-double with 8 steals last week. #OutOfThisWorld #QuerqBoys #ABQvsBOS
