Once again, the divide between the winners and the nots was significant. Here are our 12 Western Conference teams.
Los Angeles is clearly a basketball center with the Lakers and UCLA. We have other smaller market NBA cities such as Denver, New Orleans, Minneapolis and Dallas. It is exciting that the AltBA will be in two cities in which the NBA left in Seattle and Vancouver. Finally we have some brand new really small markets that the community seems to be excited about...Honolulu, Albuquerque, Kansas City and Omaha (am I missing something?). Omaha was by far the most popular city in the history of Alt Sports.

Now it is time to start naming our franchises. We are going to be naming them in 4 groups of 6. Here are a few things to keep in mind....
GUIDELINES
1.) You can provide ONE name per city.
2.) Pay attention to the names that other people are submitting so that you don't duplicate submissions.
3.) You can provide a short explanation as to how you arrived at that name.
4.) Remember that getting one of your names selected improves your ranking in the OWNER DRAFT.
RULES
1.) You can't use NBA team names
2.) You can't use Alt Sports team names
3.) You cannot use WNBA or College Basketball teams within that market.
4.) (For Atlanta) no 'Rebels' or other Confederate references
5.) You do not need to use the city locator. You can choose to use the city

2.) Think to yourself, "What a real team be named this?" Some of the names suggested in the past were well researched and thought out but were too obscure to win.
We begin with Group A:
