Thanks everyone. I knew that Jokers FC was going to have a mixed reaction.  Ultimately I went with it cause of its fun and potential as the vibe of the league has always been little silly.

@Scratch As for the gambling theme, I know that leagues are always hesitant to go towards it.  Luckily the APL has no such qualms.  As for the fans, the WNBA's team is the Aces so I figured it was somewhat safe.  And I agree that the city and area are more than just gaming but it is a city of which it's economy and boom is largely a result from it.  And while the Jokers could be from other cities - Vegas is the casino capital of the world.  Plus there can be other Vegas symbols throughout the identity.

@QCS I agree about the upside down words. I tried it and it just didn't look right.  But I know it should be that way.  I'll give it another try and share it out.

I know that the card shaped crest will be different than most but it's a start haha.

I appreciate all of the help. We are two clubs away.

I don’ think we’ve had any match day results this week.

The Quarterfinals of the APL is BACK Tournament in Orlando -

Minneapolis 10,000s 3 - Caesar Sportivo 1

The Minneapolis 10,000s are into the APL is Back Tournament semifinals thanks to a 3-1 win over Caesar Sportivo.  Head coach Jim Curtin's group will face Big Apple United next Wednesday.

Following a stale opening stanza, the 10Ks blitzed Caesar for three goals in 15 minutes.  It all started when Jamiro Monteiro made it 1-0 in the 24th minute, tapping home after Alejandro Bedoy squared across goal with the defense split open.

The 10K's quickly doubled their advantage in the 26th minute on Santos' first of the evening.  He latched onto the Caesar defender Luis Martins' poor back pass after an attacking free kick, then sprinted 80 yards before chipping over Tim Melia for the 2-0 lead.

Santos found his second in the 39th minute, brushing home with his left foot after a brilliant Brendan Aaronson turn in midfield.  The US men's national team prospect let the ball run across his body then slipped his teammate through for the 3-0 advantage.

Atlanta Arsenal 1 (5) - Hawaii Ho'ohui 1 (4)

Atlanta Arsenal are into the APL is Back Tournament semifinals, making all five of their penalty kicks in the shootout that decided their quarterfinal matchup against the heavily favored Hawaii Ho'ohui.  Jordan Harvey rattled his attempt off the crossbar and Nani scored the clincher, deciding matters after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Looking set for a tournament exit, Atlanta finally found their equalizer in the 90th minute through left back Joao Moutinho.  He rose highest on a Nani corner kick, heading home at the back post to make it 1-1.

The Ho'ohui were held without a shot on goal through 60 minutes, and then scored on their first shot of the game for the 1-0 lead.  Bradley Wright Phillips tapped home inside the six yard box, turning home a Diego Rossi cutback cross after the winger dispossessed Atlanta midfield Sebastian Mendez.

The breakthrough arrived three minutes after Atlanta had a golden opportunity of their own, when goalie Kenneth Vermeer saved Nani's penalty kick in the 57th minute.  The chance was granted when Hawaii left back Diego Palacios tripped up Arsenal right back Ruan on a tackle.

Hawaii thought they broke the scoreless deadlock in the 31st minute, but the goal by Wright Phillips was called back following a review.  Hawaii winger Brian Rodriguez was a step offside in the buildup, negating the tap in.

Sporting San Francisco 4 - Real Cleveland 1

Sporting San Francisco have made it to the semi finals after cruising to a 4-1 win over Real Cleveland on Saturday night.

The Bears set the ton midway through the first half, scoring twice in quick succession to take a 2-0 lead by the 21st minute.Robin Ltd finished for the 1-0 lead at the back post after a recycled corner kick, and then Jacori Hayes cleaned up a Daniel Vega rebound for a one-two punch.

San Francisco's lead was cut in half in the 50th minute when Magnus Eriksson deposited from the penalty kick spot.  The attempt was granted after a review. Real Cleveland's hope for a comeback were short lived, as SF striker Luis Amarilla made it 3-1 on a 56th minute fast break.

Big Apple United 3 - Three Rivers FC 1

Diego Valeri came on as a substitute and scored the go-ahead goal in the second half, helping Big Apple United to a 3-1 victory over Three Rivers that sends them to the semis.  Jesus Medina scored the opener for Three Rivers in the 27th minute, but a trio of unanswered tallies from Sebastian Blanco, Valeri and Andy Polo would stand as the difference in the Saturday evening quarterfinal matchup between the sides.

Three Rivers couldn't keep that lead to halftime as Big Apple tied it up.  The Apple Corps got their lead in the 65th minute and never let up.  Putting away the Trolls for good.

Sorry for the delay on these.  The next couple of weeks will be a little wonky with a few things on my plate.  But as promised we will be building the entire brands of the final four teams.

The Semi Finals

Minneapolis 10,000s versus Big Apple United

Atlanta Arsenal versus Sporting San Francisco

Of course I like my own Club Nickel suggestion, but Legia is quite nice as well. I can say that Inter, Queen City, and Upstate are not good choices, though.

As for whoever suggested Queen City FC for Buffalo, I'd like to respectfully remind them that there is only one Queen City in North America, and it is Charlotte, North Carolina.

Wow QCS that was nice of you to say, I completely agree about the Queen City moniker!

Jokes aside, I would say FC Buffalo or AFC Buffalo for the new team, in an odd way it would somehow be completely unique in the league.

I threw in Queen City just to see people's reactions. Especially cause I know we have QCS and Dr. Pepper as two reps from Cincy and Charlotte. I looked it up there are 30 cities and towns that are called the 'Queen City'.  After doing some research about this commonly used nickname I found it funny that most of the cities are called Queen City for completely different reasons.

I think FC Buffalo or AFC Buffalo fits the city best.

There are so many Queen Cities in the world, but Charlotte has the best claim to it, thank you very much. Being named after a queen is a pretty good reason to be called the Queen City, much more than simply being on a river or a lake

With the addition of Charlotte in MLS, there are 7 cities nicknamed Queen City, I'm prepared for the biggest derby in soccer! (In case you're curious, it's Charlotte, Cincinnati, Seattle, Denver, Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto.)
