Hey y'all, I've been bouncing around ideas for building a Wiki-style site for my Torland sports leagues. (Torland Star League-- a fictional baseball league originally posted on CCSLC)

Building one from scratch is proving to be more difficult than I anticipated but I thought it'd be a cool way to assemble all of the details of my fictional Country of Torland. I've installed DokuWiki on a new website which seems somewhat straightforward but I have no idea what I'm doing yet. I thought a Wiki-style layout would be easier to maintain information than just a blog post style but I'm not sure yet.

Does anyone have any experience with Wiki-style software or websites? Or even editing on Wikipedia/etc?

I actually used to be really into nationstates, a country creation community that has a bunch of really good resources for creating a wiki-style page. I think it’s mostly just a bunch of html, but I’ll leave links below to their resources. Keep in mind that all of their stuff is for a nation’s factbook, but I think it could translate really well to team pages

Hope this helps!

Thanks, H-Town. I've been curious about NS for awhile now. Seems like something I'd enjoy but somewhat overwhelming in leaning more about it and getting started.

Lots of great examples in that link, thanks. I think Wiki-style is definitely the ticket for me since I'm using a fairly well-developed fictional country as a backdrop to many of my leagues.

World Anvil (https://www.worldanvil.com/) might be a little more RPG-ish for what you're looking for, but it could allow you to write more in-depth if that is something you're looking for.

NationStates is probably more straighforward, though. And there is roleplay in the forums as well if that's something you're into.

NationStates is not that complicated at all. It's very easy to pick up, IMO.
