Re: Good If It Goes: The Story of the OBA

I’m loving the Carrot. A unique trophy befitting the league.
Charlotte Racers (2016 AltHL Champions) St. Louis Explorers (2000 & 2011 AltBowl Champions) Minnesota Giants (2000, 2004 & 2006 AltBA Champions)

Irving Crows
The Irving Crows will be one of two teams joining the league from the city of Irving, the other being the Ricos. These players wanted to include a haunting bird reminiscent of darken skies and storms on the horizon. The Crows will be adopting an orange and black color scheme with silver on the outline. The two Irving teams will share a gym at the Alberts Mess Hall of Irving.

Irving Ricos
Up next is the Irving Ricos, the other team that will be playing in the Alberts Mess Hall of Irving. Named after the infamous racketeering schemers of the 1920s in the country, the Ricos will be sporting a red and navy color combo, while wearing gray on their home floor. The logo is merely their wordmark, in cursive writing.

The Bay Bishops
The Bishops will be representing The Bay, a large seaport between Gilroy and Murdlock. They chose the Bishops for multiple reasons. For starters, they will be playing in the basement of the town cathedral, known as the Green Center. The name "Bishops" has history; when neighboring countries landed their ships at port, Bishop Green would come on down and bless the cargo and the people who transported it. Bishop Green was well liked among the townfolk and visiting shipmates alike, and hosted many dinners and crews at the cathedral. Alas, Bishop Green passed away at the ripe young age of 102.

The Bishops' colors are green and gold. Their logo is a green mitre adorned with a golden crucifix, one that also appears on their center court.

Re: Good If It Goes: The Story of the OBA

Boothtown Mobsters
The city of Boothtown is the final team given a slot in the OBA for the 1974 season. With their addition, Boothtown becomes the farthest western team in the league. Boothtown was given the name of the Mobsters due to the ridiculous amount of crime going on in the city's underworld, impressive and frightening given the town's small population. The team is also run by a guy simply known as Jimmy "the Knife" and uh... I think it was merely a "okay whatever you say boss no questions asked" kind of deal. Anyway...

The team will be wearing red, black and grey as their colors and will play at the Boothtown Gymnasium.

Murdlock #1 Logo/Name Change
The team formerly known as Murdlock #1 have decided that they will only be changing their name and logo. As such, I bring you...
The Murdlock Monocles!

The Monocles chose their name as an ode to lawmakers who founded the city and were famous for sporting monocles. Their color scheme will remain the same.

Murdlock #2 Name Change
While maintaining their simple "M" logo and their color scheme, the team has decided to go with the Murdlock Razors as their new name. No real reason was given other than "we thought it sounded cool."
