Oort Comets
Origins – Similar to the USS Polaris, the USS Oort is another large starcruiser in the Solar System that transport over 90,000 people all over the Solar System. The ship was named after the Oort cloud, a “cloud” filled with icy objects that seems to enclose the Solar System. The team will be called the Oort Comets because the Oort cloud was also theorized as one of the birthplaces of comets. And comets travel around the Solar System, just like the USS Oort does.
Logos and Colors – The Oort Comets’ logo is pretty straightforward, as it is a comet with an O inside. The logo will also be the first logo in the Solar League to have a gradient in it. On dark-colored backgrounds, the logo will be white with yellow in the tail of it. On light-colored background, the logo will be red with yellow in the tail. The color red was chosen to avoid copying their natural rival North Stars and also to represent the flaming comet as they approach the sun.
Stadium – Unlike the Polaris North Stars playing their games on the top of the USS Polaris, the Oort Comets will be playing deep inside the USS Oort in a massive bay. But they will still have massive observation windows where they can view passing planets and moons as the USS Oort cruises by.
Just an FYI - I posted the two new expansion teams in two consecutive separate posts, and from my end, they were split up by pages. So be sure to check previous pages in this thread if you only see one team.

Oh man, these two are great. The gradient actually works really well for the Comets, I especially like its use on the piping. The North Stars also look great, amazing work yet again!

Well done on both the North Stars and Comets

Nice job on both teams! I'm a big fan of what you did with Polaris. That navy and gold scheme is perfect, and I also really like the star-tip A being used throughout. Super clean look.
I honestly can't believe how good this gradient looks for Oort. Nice identity overall. Very modern look that is still clean and classy.

2580 Solar League Baseball Realignment
As announced before, with the two new traveling expansion teams joining the Solar Leagues, the league will undergo a shakeup to fit these two teams in.
There will be a new division to go along with the Inner and Outer Divisions in both the Astro and Cosmo League; the Middle Division.
The Inner Divisions would largely be “classical” as they would have teams from each of the 4 inner rocky planets along with the two Lunar teams. 5 of the 6 of the Solar Six will be in this division, with the two Ceres teams being the odd-man out, as usual.
The Middle Divisions will have the Jovian teams and the Lagrange Island teams together. The AL Middle Division will have three teams from Jupiter and two teams from the Islands. The CL Middle Division will have two teams from Jupiter and three teams from the Islands.
All of the teams from these two regions fought hard to keep their rival teams together within their respective locations. So, the league came up with a solution to do a form of joint custody with each other. Plus, the Middle Divisions required 10 teams, and both regions had 5 teams each. 5 plus 5 makes 10.
In order to make this happen, the Ft. Nevada Black was required to move over from the AL to the CL, due to the Jupiter Kings, Callisto Cubs, and Io Vulcans refusing to break up and moving from the AL. The Black, being one of the newest teams, volunteered to move over to the CL.
That mean one of the CL teams also had to move over to the AL, and that ended up being the Neptune Mariners. The Solar League voted on the Mariners in order to make the Outer Divisions more balanced in terms of travel times and would give every team a natural interleague rival.
The Outer Divisions will have the two new travel teams (one per league) along with all of the teams beyond Saturn. Also, the Belters and the Gatekeepers will be part of the Outer Division instead of being in the Middle Divisions. To help bridge the gap between Ceres and Saturn, the two travel teams will set up their “home bases” in the Jovian system to help with travel times.
See below for a visual image of the new league layout. Each team’s natural or assigned interleague rival is on the corresponding line. For example, Luna’s natural rival is Kennedy. Mars & Valles Marineris. Saturn & Titan. The only “odd” interleague rival right now is Jupiter and Ft. Nevada. And yes, the league plans on remedying that someday down the road.
But for now, let’s just focus on 30 teams.
Play ball!

the North Stars and Comets both look amazing! Now SLB has as many teams as the MLB does in real life now
