Any time the Dragons play the Sawblades, the aesthetic is gonna be one of the trippiest in sports...and our fans wouldn't have it any other way.

We deserve to showcase what we got at a stadium series game. It would be a beautiful eyesore!

Alright, time for a mega post.
Ladies and gentlemen, congratulations on an epic Legacy project. I'm glad to have been here for it all, even when my teams stank. A toast to Gritty for organizing this project, and to a bright future of the AltHL.
Moreover, I'm thrilled to see the designs and the histories if the teams we've crafted, despite my own lack of contributions. Portland, I'm sorry, I still think your uniforms fit a roller hockey team more than professional ice hockey, but I love the colours. I look forward to the expansion and owning a team, as well as enjoying the design process and the story line.
Here's to many season of the AltHL!

Joining the Bighorns, Owls and Sawblades are the Chicago Ghosts. The Ghosts were also a team that wishes the project took place in the 80s. The Ghosts had a difficulty rising out of the basement of the ultra competitive AHA East. Competing with the Gargoyles, Rovers, Founders, and Racers there were not a lot of wins left.
The Ghosts, owned by CapitalG carried the flag for the 'bottom feeder' teams back in 2012. In there most memorable of their three playoff runs the Ghosts won it all. In their title they were able to shake up the playoff landscape. The lone Ghost all star was Adrian Aucoin.
Luckily for the Ghosts they will be moving to the AltHL Central Division in 2020. In the Central they can hopefully rise to the top.

Is that Sylvain Turgeon of Ottawa Senators Fame? Speaking of which, what's the in universe explanation for when someone like Yashin or Daige shows up since Ottawa isn't assigned to a team? Free agent?

No that's Pierre Turgeon. One of the few players that will actually appear on two teams. Yashin only plays in the league for the 8 or so years he played for the Ghosts.

Happy Sunday Everyone!
When I sat down to make these rankings I was shocked at where I ended up having Winnipeg fall. I think Winnipeg starts a new tier of teams from the Legacy Project. They ended up with 721 wins - some fifty wins more than the bottom five teams. One of the best goalies of all time, Dominik Hasek called the 'Peg home for the better part of the Project. The Dominator won 6 GOY awards. Those Hasek years were unfortunately known for the lack of help that he had on those teams. Despite the lack of help he did lead the Arrows to back to back finals appearances in the CHL's first two years.
The second notable era came in the 2010s when owner Wallflower built the team up to a contender. In 2016 the Arrows finally broke through to raise the Shield. With Drury, Miller, Vanek, Campbell, Briere and a whole crop of talent the Arrows won the Shield and the Gritty Cup for the league's best record.
Along with Messier, Hasek is a notable omission from the AltHL Pantheon. It was a really tough decision but I think we went in the right direction.
As you will see with this new tier of teams it will get harder determining the rankings.

Wooow..the Dominator not being in the Pantheon..I kinda guessed the Arrows would be around here..so I wonder where we're going next..is it maybe a cursed team who had gobs of talent and a few trophies to show for? Or is it a team who has more than one but less talent?

Not too surprised to be this far down, only 5 playoff appearances was a bit disappointing, especially when there were so many years where we were 5th or just a few points outside the playoffs. But man the amount of awards Hasek won, I am surprised he didn't make the Pantheon.

Just means Messier and Hasek are instant favorites for next year's Pantheon class...
