Re: AltHL Legacy

Boston would formerly announce that we've signed Donkey Kong to play Goalie, good luck everyone!

Guy doesn't even have any equipment. Rookie pick based off size. Let me help you, I was going to keep him as a sleeper pick but you need him more. Shy Guy. Always wears a goalie mask, shows he is constantly in the right headspace. Lives, laughs, loves goalie.

I'm also picking him so I can make bullet passes from goalie to Hull for lots of breakaways.

Re: AltHL Legacy

What about Goomba? Scouts and analysts say he's great in the corners.

Re: AltHL Legacy

Can red shells be used to stop people on breakaways?

Re: AltHL Legacy

The Canadian Shield V Playoffs

Minnesota Loons versus Calgary Wranglers
A competitive series capped off a fun CHL season.  3 straight wins for the Wranglers seal the Shield.  By winning in Game 6 the Wranglers got to raise the shield in front of their home crowd.

Philadelphia Founders versus LA Titans
IRL this was the season when Mark Messier guaranteed victory for the Rangers.  They ended up winning in seven games against the Canucks.  Their parade was June 17th, 1994.  This was the same day that Arnold Palmer played his final round at the US Open. The NBA Finals were happening between the Knicks and Rockets and the OJ Simpson White Bronco chase was being followed live on the news.  In the AltHL it marked the LA Titans first championship, perhaps it won't be the last...

Re: AltHL Legacy

It's a miracle that we won the Shield without a player on the All-Star team. Or maybe the Gardens are our All-Star...

Either way, good series, Loons!

Re: AltHL Legacy

Woohoo Calgary! Sorry Minnesota, after the last couple days you might have been doomed from the start..... So I hate to bring it up again but look at the two winners and tell me what they have in common. #homeiceadvantage

Re: AltHL Legacy

The Loons didn't stand a chance in Calgary. They're still trying to do the math on maintence, etc.

Re: AltHL Legacy

Sweet!  Wasn't expecting to win this series, (considering half the league's All-Stars are from Philly) but this was a nice surprise!

Great series Philly!  You'll be back, no doubt!
