At the AAA level, JHA has announced they will be affiliated with their hometown F-M Hjemkomst (Fargo-Moorhead Homecoming) in Fargo/Moorhead, ND/MN. Down in the Southern Dakota, the AA Rapid City Mounts will take the ice.
The Hjemkomst was named after the ship of the same name that was built in nearby Hawley, sailed to Norway, and shipped back to its permanent residence in Moorhead. Hjemkomst is Norwegian for homecoming represents the Great Plains, America's Heartland, and those that have increasingly moved to the coasts to seek fame and fortune but have returned to the place they truly call home.
The Mounts were named after both Mount Rushmore, famous for the busts of four former U.S. presidents, and the history of riding horses for hunting and ranching in the area. Another large sculpture in the area, the Crazy Horse Memorial, depicts a mounted Crazy Horse pointing to the future.

I am proud to announce the two affiliates of the Winnipeg Arrows:
AAA Thunder Bay Osprey or River Hawks (River Hawks being another name for an Osprey) I had them as the Giants, named after the natural landmark of the Sleeping Giant, but of course Section30 beat me to the punch. Nothing really special about the Osprey other than it would be a bird in the area, and something a little different, wouldn't mind some feedback on if I should stick to Osprey or go River Hawks instead
AA Kelowna Bobcats
Once again simple but I love Kelowna so I thought I would give them a team as well, might flip flop the two yet on which level as Kelowna is a bigger city, but I figured the Thunder Bay/Duluth rivalry would be a good one to keep intact.
I'm sensing some natural minor league rivalries here. I could definitely see a 3 way rivalry between Duluth, Fargo-Moorhead, and Thunder Bay. And Rochester is in southern MN, closer to Rapid City in AA. Also lol you gotta be quicker to your names Wallfloower, Thunder Bay Giants does have a good ring to it though
I've always like it too, I usually think of Paul Bunyan for the "Tall Tails" of the region. And no I hadn't known about the skeleton thing, very cool and just makes the name better lol.

At the end of the season, fans are speculating that the new farm team will be located less than 1000km from Quebec City, while the other will begin operations outside the province of Quebec. A day later, FC Macbeth announced the Owls' Triple-A and Double-A farm team.
For their Triple-A team, the Gatineau Fireworks will play in Gatineau, Quebec. The name refers to the Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light firework competition held each summer at the Ottawa River. Visitors witness the bright, booming sound of pyrotechnics set to music.
For their Double-A team, the Rhode Island Hope will play in Providence, Rhode Island. The nickname comes from RI's state motto which simply reads 'Hope', which itself derives from the biblical passage 'hope we have as an anchor of the soul'.

The San Francisco Dragons are proud to announce our minor league affiliates:
AAA: Oakland Power (Named is an homage to the city's ethnic diversity and how they rose up in the face of discrimination, becoming integral to the city's culture)
AA: Santa Rosa Beagles (Their home arena, the Redwood Empire Ice Arena, is commonly known as "Snoopy's Home Ice" because it was built and owned by Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz, an avid hockey fan who lived and worked in Santa Rosa from the mid '60s onward. Every morning he would have breakfast Warm Puppy Cafe, and would always order the same thing-coffee and an English muffin with jelly.)

This is the former arena of the Terriers, the Martins Coliseum. Named for team founder Alan Martins, the arena was known for retro charm and cheap booze. However, It’s fatal flaw was it’s distance from the Toronto Downtown area (located in a suburb of Oshawa). Residents of the neighborhood it was built in hated the blocky concrete style of the building, which overshadowed the suburban charm, and the traffic nightmare it created. Eventually, the arena just became too old, and the Terriers moved to a more conveniently-located stadium (
