Re: The AltFL Season 2025

With all 20 teams from last season returning and two expansion franchises, the next step is the AltFL Rookie Draft, which will take place here on the boards starting on Monday, July 7th. I will open the draft in the morning with all guidelines for that then. In the meantime, trading is now open! Any agreed upon trades must be sent to me to go through the council and ARE NOT OFFICIAL UNTIL POSTED IN THE TRADE THREAD. The salary does not matter at this point, as keepers are not due until next month, so add or remove budget as you choose. Keep in mind, the main draft order will be determined based on who has the most budget remaining.

What's the last thing we need? The budget sheet! Click HERE to view the budget sheet for 2025.

Here is the list of picks teams currently own: CURRENT PICKS

Re: The AltFL Season 2025

The Carolina Reapers are open to trading anyone and everyone on our roster. We're looking for picks, primarily for the rookie draft, but are also open to accepting general draft picks.

Quick edit: the Reapers will also be happy to take on salary dumps to facilitate trades.

Re: The AltFL Season 2025

The Kentucky Stallions are also very open to trades. We are most looking for a QB and picks, but we are open to other offers. Anyone on the roster is available to be talked about.

Re: The AltFL Season 2025

It is unfortunately looking like Lamar is becoming too expensive for the Raptors to keep, and thus I will be open to trades for him (still not 100 on if he will be leaving though). A decent QB would need to come the other way, plus some picks and other sweeteners. Feel free to DM here or on Discord if interested.

Re: The AltFL Season 2025

And let's put out the Emperors trade list. Some of these players I could part with, but also have the availability to keep and plan to, but am willing to listen to offers.

$27 - RB - Christian McCaffrey (SF)
$14 - QB - Jalen Hurts (PHI)
$13 - WR - DK Metcalf (PIT)
$10 - RB - Rhamondre Stevenson (NE)
$5 - K - Tyler Bass (BUF)
$5 - WR - Elijah Moore (BUF)
$4 - RB - Blake Corum (LAR)
$4 - LB - Ivan Pace (MIN)
$4 - DB - Julian Blackmon (unsigned)
$4 - LB - Kenneth Murray (DAL)
$4 - DL - Kobie Turner (LAR)
$1 - DL - Calijah Kancey (TB)
$1 - DL - Christian Wilkins (LV)
$1 - LB - Henry To'oTo'o (HOU)
$1 - RB - Jaleel McLaughlin (DEN)
$1 - DL,LB - Jermaine Johnson (NYJ)
$1 - QB - Kenny Pickett (CLE)
$1 - WR - Marquez Valdes-Scantling (SEA)
$1 - DB - Mike Sainristil (WAS)
$1 - LB - Omar Speights (LAR)
$1 - RB - Patrick Taylor (SF)

What am I looking for? Well, pretty much the same thing everyone is looking for: picks or younger and cheaper players.

Re: The AltFL Season 2025

I'm actually going to say this up front, I'm actually gonna cool it with all the trading this year. Seeing as my track record is worse than the Cleveland Browns Super Bowl odds (what's a Cleveland Brown in the AltFL?), figured I'd try a new tactic out.  Saying this for the members who like to make a bunch of offers to me, so they know I probably won't say yes too often this year.

Now I'm still open to a trade here and there.  For example, I have interest in obtaining a second 2026 1st Round rookie pick.   If someone wants to take a shot at this, Id be willing to suggest the following...I trade #7 and #21 (basically a late 1st Rounder with a 2nd Rounder's Price) and I get to trade down a little bit (and I do mean just a little bit, like 1-5 picks preferably) in the first round of this year's rookie draft and a first rounder in 2026's rookie draft. So each team is moving and receiving two draft picks.

So this could help someone trying to get that special player before someone snatches them from you plus getting a very early second rounder in exchange for not having a first rounder next year.

If your interested, lemme know!

Re: The AltFL Season 2025

Alright, hold up. We have a bit of SUDDEN AND IMPORTANT NEWS!

So clocking in after everyone returned, we did receive a request for a member to re-join the league before the deadline that I didn't see until they asked what was going on. So some things are and have changed. First off, because we want to have even number of teams, there will be a league owned team Sky and I will be running it jointly, and once we have finalized the rules, we will share them (unless someone else who doesn't own a team wants to take them over). Since the East Division does not play the Central so neither Sky nor I will be facing them, we will be placing the Milwaukee Mallards in that division to be operated by us.

As far as the returning owner goes, please welcome back n00bthtpwnz who will resume operation of the Birmingham Vulcans. As an expansion team, they will be going through an expansion draft process as we did with the AltLB (as will the Mallards). The Vulcans will also get the first pick in the AltFL Rookie Draft, bumping everyone else back one spot. The Mallards, as a league owned team, will pick last in both rounds.
