EXPANSION TEAMS REVEALED
UBL Commissioner Dan Gaudreau revealed the identities of the two teams that will be joining the league for the 2027-28 season, bringing the alignment to an even 20 teams.
The Colorado Cutthroats will play in the Western Conference's Robinson Division and be based in Ball Arena, home of the NBA Nuggets, NHL Avalanche and NLL Mammoth. The Cutthroats are named for the state fish of Colorado and will play in Olive Green and Dark Olive Green.
The Minnesota Frostbite will compete in the Eastern Conference's Ruth Division and will play out of Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, home of the NHL WIld. They will play in white and hot pink.
REALIGNMENT
Along with the expansion came the announcement that a few teams would be moved around to accomodate the new arrivals. San Jose will be moved to the Mays Division, Houston will be joining Dallas in the Robinson Division, and Philadelphia will be moved to the Cobb Division.

With the expansion bringing the league to 20 teams, the United Ball League announced a 20-team minor league, the Sprite D-League. The Sprite D-League will consist of a mix of potential UBL markets and smaller, more minor-league markets, each team affiliated with a UBL team.
