Here's the table!

After a disappointing loss to bottom of the table St. Mungo, the Falcons return home where we will host Amsterdam KVV. Eye of the Sun is looking to make up some points and make sure we stay near the top of the table and, hopefully, climb the table. We'll be in the Main kits for this one, and our featured player is star midfielder Bukayo Saka! #TheGoldStandard

Well, Atlético have now dropped three in a row. Fortunately, only two of those have counted, but we really need to turn things around in order to keep our season on track. Fortunately, our opponent this week put up an even worse performance last week, as Berlin fell flat on their face against Harbour. That said, you can never ever be too careful when there are bears in your neck of the woods, so we'll need to step up our game regardless. We have a third unique goalkeeper making his debut, as Đorđe Petrović managed to stop 9 of Munich's 13 shots last week in a valiant effort.
(that's new england revolution legend đorđe petrović to you)

With most of their team out due to injury, Joburg utterly dominated London on the road, eclipsing matchweek 7 where we scored the most points of any team all season against Amsterdam. The Golden Lions will continue their brief road trip in Europe, this week heading north to take on Stockholm. Our grueling win over them in matchweek 4 was the beginning of the turnaround for us, so we hope that this game will continue our momentum to claim the top spot in the table. Coincidentally, the player featured for week 4 is the same for this week, as M James Ward-Prowse delivered the death blow to the Lionhearts with a late penalty kick that sailed past London GK Guglielmo Vicario. Prowsey also provided 4 key passes and 3 corner kicks to keep the offense rolling. For only the third time all season, we're breaking out the clash kits for the final game before a long home stretch. #StayGold

Following last game and the win over Amsterdam KVV, the Falcons are feeling pretty good. And with a trip to Sweden to face the lowly IFK Stockholm team, Eye of the Sun is on the rise. We're going to bust out the clash kits for this one, as we highlight midfielder Andreas Pereira! #TheGoldStandard

A dominating Joburg win and some help near the top sees the Golden Lions jump into the top three in the table. We return home to the Calabash for a 4-game home stretch, with the first opponent being the struggling St. Mungo. Featured for this week is the phenomenal F Ollie Watkins, who scored a goal and had three assists in the offensive clinic we put on in Stockholm. We'll be back in the teals for the entirety of the homestand as we continue to climb to the top of the table. #StayGold

Good news: Atlético was able to wrap up our homestand without getting swept, as we picked up a big win over Berlin to stay just three points back of CRI. Now, we hit the road for our toughest stretch of travel this season, as seven of our next eight games are on the road, starting with three games in a row on three different continents - none of which is Europe. Our first game will be high up in the mountains of South America - the Andes, to be specific - as we take on our fellow high-altitude archiodactyls in Santiago. Highlighted this week is young midfielder Moisés Caicedo, who was effective on both ends of the pitch, earning an assist as well as a blocked shot.

Coming off a win over Stockholm, Eye of the Sun returns home to start a four game homestand. It starts as we welcome Atlético Barcelona to The Pyramid in a big game if we want to climb the table. We're the underdogs in this one, so we're looking to one of last week's top performers to keep things going, as Willian looks to keep up the big play. We'll be at home, so we'll be in the standard main kits for this one. #TheGoldStandard
