And Hershey will go out having 4 of their 6 losses come from conference champions.

We did it, everyone! We backed right into the playoffs in getting beaten down by QCS. So now we head to play Penn Comm in the Heritage Bowl. Do Jellyfish do well in the cold? Not traditionally. Thankfully, our logo is just a DNA chromosome in a toque. We're the road team, so we're in the sapphire helmets, white jerseys, and mint pants. We're featuring our lone All-American, wide receiver Troy Franklin! #UnderTheSea #Toques
We went to Los Angeles and knocked off Playa to close out the regular season and secure the Super West Conference. So now we head to Los Angeles to host Hallows in the Avocado Bowl. Our graphic designer had some issues this week. I can't say we'll fix them for next week. But we're going to work to get the win and give them another chance. We're wearing our standard look, white helmets, white jerseys, and white pants. Our featured player is star quarterback and likely AltFL first round draft pick Drake Maye! #FlyingHI

We may have lost our rivalry game against Yellowstone and finished 4-6 on the year, but we still made a bowl game! The Stegos travel to Minneapolis to play one last game in the North Star Bowl. Our opponent is no stranger to us, as the 5-5 Lone Star Panthers narrowly beat us in week 2 at home. We're a changed team since that low-scoring affair, and we're out for revenge to close out the year on a high note. The last featured player of the year is the player with the most points so far on the year, junior RB Peny Boone! We'll wear the standard road set for the last game of the year. #BringTheBoom

Well, I don't know how we did it, but not only did the Angels beat Nouvelle France, not only did we get a little help from our friends* to win the Southern V for the second straight season, but we also got everything else around the AltCAA to break the right way to enter the playoffs as the #1 seed once again. We now get home field advantage (nominally) throughout the playoffs, and it starts in Nashville, as we host the Whiskey Bowl against ... Nouvelle France, who narrowly snuck in as the 8th best team in the league. Both teams will be looking for revenge, as UNF knocked us out of the playoffs last season, while, well, we just beat them last week. Like we did in last year's playoffs, we'll be highlighting our top performers of the season, and top of the list is RB Jonathon Brooks, who nearly spent week 1 on the bench, but worked his way up from RB3 to RB1, and finished the regular season with over 1,000 yards on the ground and 9 total touchdowns. #HeardOnHigh

FROM LAST WEEK: The Rebels will close out their season at home against Wichita A&M. QB/RB Zachary Larrier leads the way this week dressed in the classic home uniforms. #TheRIELDeal #Rebels2023
THIS WEEK:
It's bowl season and the Rebels will be looking to take home the Beacon Bowl against Wichita A&M. QB Austin Reed enters what is his final game for the Rebels. The star is ready to lead the Rebels into one last game as we roll out the all-red look for this bowl game. #TheRIELDeal #Rebels2023 #BeaconBowl2023 #GoRebels

For the second week in a row, the Angels took down the Musketeers. Now, for the second week in a row, the Angels will meet a Southern V opponent in a win-or-go-home playoff game. It comes against Florida Panhandle, who coincidentally are the last team to have beaten us, back in week 7. This game will arguably be for the "true" Southern V title, as the Jellies would have won the conference were it based solely on conference record. More importantly, though, it will be for a spot in the AltCAA Championship Game. Our second-highest scorer this year is WR Malik Nabers, who finished the regular season with over 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns. #HeardOnHigh

I've given up on trying to make Gravit work for me in relation to the AltCAA, so text-based is how we go. Panhandle heads to the National Semifinal to face Johns Island. We are looking for a National Championship berth, and the Angels are the top seed for a reason. We're breaking out the standard roads in this one, as we go with the sapphire helmets, white jerseys, and mint pants. #UnderTheSea #FallenAngels
On the other side of the country, Hawaii State is readying for their Semifinal game, as they face Michigan Institutional. Where the other Semifinal is a rematch, this is a battle of two teams that didn't play in the regular season. The Hawks are doing what they do, and wearing the white helmets, white jerseys, and white pants. #FlyingHI #TheBucksStopHere

Hawaii State scored a bunch of points last week, yet still needed to cling to the lead to hold off Jaden Daniels and Michigan Institutional last week. This week we head to the championship against Johns Island. The Angels knocked off the Jellyfish last week, and will face their first non-Southern V opponent of the playoffs in the Hawks. With the championship in our sights, we're looking to put up a bunch of points again this week. We're going to wear our primary look (which is convenient when the Angels will also wear theirs) as we will wear the white helmet, white jersey, and white pants. Our featured player this week is running back Jaydn Ott! #FlyingHI

Wow. What a game. It was looking like the Angels were going to fall in the semifinals for the second straight year, but a huge touchdown strike to WR Malik Nabers (coincidentally, the man who was on last week's graphic) gave us a thrilling win to send us onto the championship game. Now, we get to take on Hawaii State (not important, but I just met their athletic director, and he looks a hell of a lot like the AD at Panhandle. weird), and we'll try to ignore the fact that they put up 60+ more points than we did last week, because it's a completely clean slate in the final. Our final graphic of the year has the same feature as our first, as we highlight sophomore RB Quinshon Judkins, JIU's longest-tenured and highest-scoring player, though he was only 3rd this year as he's missed a bit of time. He only needs 104 rushing yards to hit the 1,000 mark on the season, so hopefully, he'll have two things to celebrate on Saturday.
