Re: The AltFL Season 2023

A big win over the Bolts puts the Emperors in position to clinch the East Division with 4 weeks left to play. 4 games up on both the Brawlers and Bolts, teams I've beaten both of already, a win by the Emperors or a loss by either of those teams will give YOUR New York Emperors atop the East Division for the second straight season. We hope to take care of it all ourselves, as we head to the second city to take on the Cyclones. We're highlighting star Defensive Lineman, Nick Bosa in this one following his big day with 1 Forced Fumble, 1 Fumble Recovery, 1.5 Sacks, 3 Tackles, and 1 Pass Deflected. We're in the standard road uniforms this week, with the gray helmets, white jerseys, and gray pants. #ImperiumSineFine

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Power rank time. Two teams moved up a pair of spots, the Steelheads and the Sabercats. Going the opposite way was the Stallions. Apparently, if you wanted to move around the rakings, you needed a team name that started with an S. And you weren't the Scarecrows or Scorpions.

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Going into last week, it appeared that the Emperors needs a win or a loss from one other team to win the division. But Buffalo and Philadelphia play against each other to close the season and therefore can't both win out, so YOUR New York Emperors had clinched the East Division going into last week. But we're celebrating that now, knowing that we get at least one playoff game in the Polo Grounds.

Our next goal is to lock up home field advantage throughout the playoffs. We're two games up on a bunch of teams, so it isn't going to happen this week, but a win will certainly help us on the way. To get that win, we welcome our division rivals from Charlotte into New York, welcoming the Reapers. We're certainly not overlooking them, as they do have a bunch of talented players. As it's the last regular season home game, we're celebrating our team's history with Legends Night. We're featuring a game-changing tight end this week, with 955 career receptions, 11,841 career yards, and 116 touchdowns, all in Emperor yellow and gray, it's Antonio Gates! #ImperiumSineFine

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Well, the good news is, we beat the Voyageurs, which realistically, we should be able to do. The bad news is, we beat the Voyageurs, and now have worse draft position. We also now have to play an 8-win team instead of a 1-win team, as somehow, the St. Louis Explorers have escaped mediocrity and look like a real contender. Although, depending on how much you want Seattle to tank, that could be a good thing! This week's featured Steelhead is once again QB Jordan Love, who threw for over 300 yards for the first time in his career, and hurled two touchdowns, one apiece to Tyreek Hill and DeAndre Hopkins.

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Make it 3 wins in a row for the Destroyers! After a long… six weeks, San Diego has a winning record again. We had to fight tooth and nail to beat those spooky bois from KC on our home turf to make it happen. But there's no time to rest on our laurels as we gear up for our next game: a road trip to Minnesota to take on the Voyageurs. Despite their 1-10 record, they're still an opponent we can't underestimate. Last week, QB Brock Purdy shone, throwing three touchdown passes to lead us to victory. Our star running back, Joe Mixon, also had a fantastic performance, racking up 69 (nice) yards rushing, 31 yards receiving, and a receiving touchdown. Oh, and by the way, we'll take on the Voyageurs in our alternate away kit: navy helmets, white jerseys, and white pants. #BattleReady #SDvsMIN

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

Well that went about as expected. Even though the Cyclones had a slim chance to take the game from the Emperors, but New York ran away with the game late to put us back under .500. We won't get much time to recover from that loss, as we head out west to play a Thanksgiving game against the Utah Raptors. They're fighting with the rest of the West for the division lead, while we're out here trying (and not doing too great at) to win games by scoring a decent amount of points to get into the playoffs. Featured this week is WR D.K. Metcalf, who had a decent week with Cooper Kupp out due to injury, catching 5 passes for 94 yards and a TD to get the offense rolling. We'll be in the traditional uniforms of white/white/red/white for turkey day. #StormWatch

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

LAST WEEK (Oops I forgot again)
For week 11, the Galactics are up against the Sabercats. After a monster week last week, despite falling short against the Grizzlies, Dak makes his appearance on the graphic this week to model the purple-over-orange classic look. Dak has been turning it on as of late and we hope he can keep it up down the home stretch on the season. #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff #ORLvsLA2023 #GoGalactics

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

THIS WEEK
A big win against the Sabercats last week, was vital as the Galactics make a push for the South Division title. This week we have an even more important game against our division rivals the Tennessee Copperheads. Saquon had a monster game last week and looked like his old self. We hope that continues as we make the playoff push. This week he is modeling the road uniforms with a white jersey on orange pants with purple helmet and socks. #startthecountdown #preparefortakeoff #GoGalactics #ORLvsTEN2023

Power rank time! A bunch of people moved up or down a single spot, but the top 3 and bottom 4 didn't change.

Re: The AltFL Season 2023

With the win over Carolina, and losses by St. Louis and Orlando puts New York in the position to clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs. With only Dallas in striking distance we need a win or a Bandit loss in Birmingham to send the road to the AltBowl through the Polo Grounds. We face the aforementioned Galactics in this one, one of two teams the Emperors have never beaten in the modern era, in Orlando. We're doing a color vs color matchup, with the Emperors wearing the alternate black penguin set. Our featured player is first round rookie defensive lineman, Will Anderson Jr. #ImperiumSineFine
