The penultimate week of the AltLB season is Week 21. This one features a matchup between the Blackbirds and Turtles in Tampa Bay, the Saints and the Kings in Memphis, and the Deacons and Thunderbirds in Arizona.

With the AltLB season gearing up, it's time to return to the wonderful world of event games! We're coming back with a slightly different format this year - instead of a competition to determine the logos and uniforms of an event, the host team and their opponent get to collaboratively design the aesthetics of the game. Of course, no worries if you're not a designer! Feel free to reach out to myself or other designers (provided they're willing) for assistance.

Onto some rules really quick: we don't want an NHL scenario where the same teams are playing in event games year after year. So, I'm going to remind everyone that if you host an event game you can't participate in another one for three seasons. Additionally, if you are the opponent to the host in an event game, you can't participate in another one for two seasons. So, the four teams from last year (CAR, NY, LV, OKC) that played cannot host or participate this year.

The two games we host every year are the Sandlot Series and the Fields of the Future. The Sandlot Series is our version of the Field of Dreams game, throwing back to the classic styling of the early game. The Fields of the Future, on the other hand, looks forward, like a Turn Ahead the Clock game. Unorthodox stadium locations and futuristic jersey designs in abundance!

You can only bid for one of the games, so make sure you specify which game you're bidding for and its location in your bid. And so, let the bidding commence!

The Arizona Thunderbirds are once again submitting a bid for the Sandlot Series, proposing a temporary stadium in the Tonto National Forest near the wonderful city of Payson, where baseball fans can enjoy the milder weather of northern Arizona while surrounded by both the desert and the wonderful snow-capped mountains.

The Minnesota Gemini would like to host the Fields of the Future game at eighteen different stadiums, including a half-inning at each of the following: The 3M in Eden Prairie, the twelve Gemini Youth Fund fields around Minnesota, the fields of the Gemini minor-league affiliates, municipal ballparks in Minneapolis and St. Paul, and the home field of the "visiting" team, should the bottom of the ninth inning be necessary.
