We didn't have enough to defeat the Deacons, but we will be ready to take them down if we have to face them in the playoffs. That loss didn't really change anything for the T-Birds, as we have the 2 seed locked up and now await the results of the final week of the regular season to see who we're playing. For this week, we travel to Los Angeles for a certified Bird Battle against the Condors. They might not be playing for much, but since they're our biggest rival, this one's for pride. Featured in the final week of the regular season is SS/3B Royce Lewis, who spent nearly the entire year on the IL due to a torn ACL but has come alive due to injuries in the T-Birds starting lineup, hitting 3 home runs (2 of them being grand slams) and nabbing 2 bases along the way. We'll end the year highlighting the Painted Desert, a colorful desert with shades of the sands ranging from pale reds to deep lavenders. #Thunderstruck

And our final team of the week sees 4 people make it for the first time this season, Yordan Alvarez, Seiya Suzuki, Justin Steele and Colin Poche. On the flip side, Matt Olson made it for the 5th time, and Marcus Semien and Jordan Romano made it for the 4th time.

With the regular season at it's end, the Bison have the top seed in the American League and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. We enter the playoffs with our first game against the Tampa Bay Turtles, who in a fitting bit of coincidence, were the last team to give us a loss, back in week 7. Since then, we've rattled off 15 consecutive wins, including one of the Turtles. So now is the rubber match with both teams' season on the line. The Bison are going to be wearing the standard home creams in this one, and featuring top player Kyle Schwarber. He may not get a hit often, but when he does, it goes a long way. #WeAreOK

After going down early, the Thunderbirds would win the battle of the birds by sweeping the Condors in our final regular season game. We had already secured the #2 seed in the AL, and had to wait until the final week ended to see who we would face. It would end up being a rematch against Detroit, who we split the series against during the regular season. We will try again to win at home against the Deacons, and we'll be wearing our standard home uniforms with the alternate caps to boot. Season scoring leader 1B Freddie Freeman is our featured player for the week, and we're heading down south to Tucson to climb Mount Lemmon, home of both an observatory and a ski resort. #Thunderstruck

Following a tough win against the Turtles in the AL Semifinals, the Bison move on to the AL Finals. Tell me if you've heard this one before, the Bison welcome the Detroit Deacons to Cox Ballpark for the AL Finals. We're looking for a case of déjà vu with a win over the Deacons this week. We're not going to do anything fancy, we're going to wear the cream homes in this one, as we highlight Michael Harris II, who has been on a tear over the last couple games. We certainly hope he keeps this hot streak going to propel us to the Alt Series. #WeAreOK
