The 48ers battle through a tough one to notch a win against the East leading Chevaliers to keep pace with the Ghosts. However, this week we take on the top team in the league, the West leading Portland Sawblades. Thankfully it's being played at Manpower Arena so we don't have to worry about switching to roller hockey, so we'll try and keep it rolling to cut down the Sawblades. #BadPuns
We're going to be wearing the home browns in this one, as shown by rookie defenseman Cam York.

The Wildcats are hitting a bit of a skid, as we've now lost our last two in a row. It won't get any easier this week, as we prepare to host our division rivals from Alaska. The Auroras roll into town with a game in hand on the Cats, so this'll be a prime opportunity to move back into second in the West. Leading the way this week will be the WiFi password himself, defenseman Arber *sneezes*! #WhatTeam

After taking down the Bighorns to end our road trip with a positive record, the Owls head home to take on the resurging Halifax Kingfishers. We've won 2 straight games, and they've won 4 straight games, so a winning streak is ending this week. We will try to end Halifax's winning streak in our standard home set (Grey-Navy-Navy-Navy). #RevengeOfTheHoot #QUEvsHFX #EasternBirdBattle

The 48ers took down the Sawblades last week, handing them just their second loss of the season. I can only assume it was the fact we were on ice and not playing roller hockey. This week we head to the Igloo in Alaska to take on the Smiley Bears. With the Arrows and Ghosts just one game back and playing each other, a win is necessary to maintain our advantage in the Central Conference. We're going to be wearing our standard road Ivory set in this one, as shown by Jason Zucker!

And the losing streak extends to three, as the Wildcats fall to the Auroras to keep pace with the Sawblades in the West. Now back at .500, the Cats head to Ottawa to try and right the ship against an improving Guardians squad. We're trying to improve our luck a bit by switching up the uniforms, rolling out the yellow alternates for the second and final time this year. C/W Ryan Hartman leads us into the only relevant capital city in the universe after a three-point performance last week. #WhatTeam #EDMvsOTT

A big Sunday pushed the Owls past the Kingfishers for our 3rd win in a row. We stay here in Quebec as the defending AltHL champions, the Calgary Wranglers, come into town, hoping to wrangle the victory away from us. We will try to stop them from doing so in our standard home set (Silver-Navy-Navy-Navy). #RevengeOfTheHoot #QUEvsCGY

Hey, a win is a win. The 48ers head to the Igloo and beat the Auroras. We're looking to get back to scoring points in bunches, as this week we take on conference foes, the Winnipeg Arrows. The Arrows come to Manpower Arena this week, looking to close the 1.5 game gap in the standings, whereas a win for the 48ers would push us to a bit of a cushion in the standings. This week, we're wearing our standard brown home set, shown off by rookie goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen!
EDIT: the Arrows actually won, so 1 game lead over the team I'm facing.

In the end, we made it close, but the Wildcats lost our fourth in a row this week. Unfortunately, our road doesn't get any easier, as we stay on the road this week against ... Detroit. Okay, maybe it is getting a bit easier. We'll look to use this as a bit of a reset to get ourselves rolling again before we hit the home stretch of the season. We're also finally featuring a goalie this week, as Jeremy Swayman had a very strong week despite the loss. #WhatTeam #EDMvsDET

Following that loss to Winnipeg, we find ourselves in a tie for the Central Conference lead, but now with Winnipeg who has that tiebreaker. We'll need to get back to our winning way, and there's no place better to do that than Manpower Arena! The 48ers look to bounce back with a home game against the Denver Bighorns to sweep the series with them this year. We're breaking out the alternates again for this one, led by Player/Ass. Coach Moritz Seider!
